Angela: “You didn’t get the message to come home?”

Bolt: “I forgot my phone here... And I was out of the house for almost an entire week. Why all the boxes? Are we moving?”

Angela: “Yeah, we are. Sam’s being relocated to Unova, so we all have to go. Another ranger will take the house over.”

Bolt: “You guys moved all this stuff by yourselves?”

Angela: “Some of it is still upstairs, the rest is on the garage and will be loaded on the semi that’s coming. Where were you all this time, through?”

Bolt: “Ehh... going around, I guess? I just hope you guys didn’t break any of my things!”

Evan: “I can assure you, all your belongings are secured properly.”

Bolt: “Alrighty then... lemme just pick up the rest of it.”

I was helping a friend with anatomy and decided to share the entire thing with you guys, as often I see a lot of beginner artists committing this error.

Keep some things in mind:

- The following rules apply only to an quadrupedal that is standing still. When they move or sit, the toes will cross the guide line. Digitigrade bipedals will have straighter legs because they support more weight and need more balance. The angles on bipedals are sharper and more than often the back of the thigh will be crossing the ankle line, along with the thigh being at a forward angle, rather than backwards.

- The part of the paw that contacts with the ground will always be parallel to it, regardless of the ground angle (because it’s supporting weight).

- This base can be used for most digitigrade animals, all you need to do is increase or decrease the bulk and size of each part.
