I guess this blog gathered a bit of dust huh?

Cloud will always be one of my muses, and I’ll always be a fan of FFVII, but maintaining this blog proved to be too much for me lately. I’m mostly active on my other blog @spiritsintertwined if you’d like to contact me ^^

So I’ve gotten a crap ton of messages telling me that Cloud’s arms aren’t any indication that he’s unhealthy because he has muscles? Just an FYI muscle mass has nothing to do with over all health, you need a supply of fat over the muscles just as much as you need the muscles themselves. The only way you get that sort of bizzarre definition in arms is from starvation. You can compare the definition of Cloud’s arms to Christian Bale in the Machinist– This is a guy who literally starved himself. Arguably, Cloud’s muscles are larger, but the muscle definition, the visible tendons, and the sinking between where the muscles meet are nearly identical

Close up shots give you a better look at just how fucked up his arms are.

Now compare his body to AC, where he had no where near the kind of definition in his muscles that he has in the trailer, to a healthy Christian Bale. 

And no, it wasn’t just the promo picture that he looks healthier.

And one more time for those in the back, It clearly wasn’t a stylistic choice, or they would have made everyone elses muscles just as heavily defined as Cloud’s, but they aren’t. They’re smooth, like Cloud’s were in AC.

Take another look at Cloud, he’s got bags under his eyes…

constantly lagging expression…

and borderline scary looking body mass in this trailer. 

Square Enix is not lazy, they know how to render an anatomically correct structure. If you don’t think Cloud’s render looks intentionally sick then you are a dummy.
