Part 3!!!

((AN: sorry for not posting in a while!!! School is annoying.. but! My play is over, I’m not doing the musical, and I’m gonna take the rest of the year off club wise, so I should have some more time! :]))

CW: Implied vore? It doesn’t happen ofc! But better safe than sorry :) oh- and implied dehumanization

Twig looked down at “Blue” with a smile, nodding.

“What a cool name! Well then, a pleasure to meet you, Blue!” He said, holding out his hand for Blue to shake.

Blue just stood there, unsure of what to do until they put both their hands on Twig’s pointer finger, and shook it.

“Nice to meet you too..” blue said quietly, trying to smile, despite the situation. After a good few moments of silence, (silence that felt like years to Blue), they finally asked the human, “You aren’t gonna eat me… are you?”

Twig looked down in confusion and horror. Not directed at Blue, at their statement. Not that Blue could tell. “Oh, of course not! Why would I wanna eat you? You’re human!” He answered, frowning slightly.

Blue nodded, hugging themself. “…Cause it’s what mama used to warn me about.. she said that if a bean ever sees me, they’ll swallow me whole…”

“Oh, kiddo.. I won’t eat ya! Can..can I ask what a ‘bean’ is?” The human asked. How did the human not know what a bean was?

“You! You’re a bean! A human bean.. Did you not know you were a human bean?”

“The correct term is being, Blue.. but that’s besides the point. Where are your parents? Are they around here..? Are their more of you little beings running around, I should be on alert for?” He asked.

Blue shook their head.

“No.. I’m the only b- the only one of my kind living here..” Blue said, hoping Twig didn’t catch their little mess up.

“So.. you don’t have parents?” He asked, his face full of pity.

“Nuh-uh… it’s just me..”

“And… you wouldn’t happen to be what keeps running around in the walls, would you?”

“Mhm… I’m sorry, mister Twig…”

“Now, why are you sorry? I’m just worried.. do you live in the walls? Or just use them as a safe way of getting around..”

“I..I live in them..” Blue confessed, hanging their head down.

“Oh, Blue… I’m sorry.. Why don’t you live with my husband and I?” Twig smiled.

“I can’t.. I gotta leave! Now that you saw me.. it’s against the rules to stay!”

“Rules? So you guys must have your own little.. ancient rules kinda thing.. that’s interesting! But.. will something happen if you do stay? Will you be cursed…?”

“No!! But.. you’ll just end up lying to me.. and you’ll trap me in a jar forever! I don’t wanna be in a jar…”

“Oh, kid..” He frowned, crouching down. “I won’t trap you in a jar. I won’t do anything you don’t want.. you don’t even have to stay! I’d just.. hate to find out you got hurt..”

“But.. humans don’t care about us…” blue frowned, beginning to tear up.

“I do..” Twig replied, fighting the urge to just scoop Blue up and hug them.

“…Mister Twig?”

“Yes, Blue?”

“I..I’ll try to stay.. and just see what happens…”

Twig smiled. “Thanks, kiddo..”

When Blue woke up after what felt like forever, they looked around the room. This wasn’t the kitchen..

They were in Titus and Twig’s bedroom!

Above them, a voice spoke. “Thank goodness you’re awake.. I was beginning to think you didn’t make it…” it said, letting out a sigh of relief that swept over Blue. It was Twig.

Blue tried running off, but their path was blocked by a colossal hand slamming down in front of them.

“Wait.. wait.. don’t go yet… I still need to fix your tail..” The voice- Twig spoke.

“I just finished applying the numbing cream.. I still need to bandage it all up. What’s your name, kiddo?” He asked, no annoyance or teasing in his voice. It was sincere…

But Blue remained quiet. Afraid that if they were to talk, something horrible would happen.

“I’m not gonna hurt you… can you talk?” Twig asked, crouching down slightly to see the little tailed creature better.

Blue gulped, but nodded. They still weren’t going to talk, but confirming that they could wouldn’t be bad, right?

“Oh! You can understand me!” The voice shouted in surprise. Causing Blue to flinch.

“…Sorry… my name is Twig Ingrid.. What’s your’s?”

After a while of thinking, Blue finally had the courage to answer.

“Blue.” They whispered.

It’s time

That’s right ladies and gents, the moment you’ve all been waiting for.

Blue happily ran out of the wall, looking around the gigantic kitchen. It was time!! Titus and Twig were gonna be gone for a whole week!

Their tail swayed with excitement as they ran around, grabbing whatever they wanted. So as long as it wouldn’t be noticeable, they could get it!

Their eyes landed on a gigantic plate of fresh, warm cookies. Weird… he didn’t see the two make them. Oh well! What’s the harm in taking just one itty bitty cookie? They were gonna get ruined if they just sat out anyway!

If only they had known what they saw was a trap.

They ran up to the plate, grabbing a cookie with both their hands.

SNAP!

They looked at their tail, seeing it trapped in..

“A…A mouse trap? Nonononono… I’d been so careful, how-“ They were cut off at the sound of the front door opening. As if whoever was up in the sky was trying to make today as awful as possible.

“Tell your mom I said hello!” The bean spoke.

Blue froze in place, curling up into the smallest ball they could form. ‘Nonononono please.. don’t come in the kitchen… please.. please.. please…’ They pleaded. As if they could do anything about their current situation.

Instead of the bean- Twig, listening to them, he walked right into the kitchen. Seemingly to get a drink of water.

If only that’s all that would happen. Instead, the moment he came into the kitchen, Twig’s eyes landed on them.

“I told him I didn’t want him to buy the lethal mousetraps.. no matter how much cheaper they were..” Twig mumbled. Approaching the little borrower. His eyes seemingly getting wider and wider the closer and closer he got to Blue. Who was too panicked to say a thing.

Instead, they simply fainted.

“Mhm.. Especially Titus. He’s got all these scars! And he’s just… generally really big… there’s a gym in their garage that Titus uses to work out… he can get really aggressive when working out sometimes!”

“Where do I begin? Titus and Twig bump into each other a lot, cause Titus is a lot taller than twig! Twig used to think I was a ghost!!”

“I don’t really have one… sorta just do whatever, I guess. Only real ‘schedule’ sorta thing I do is go borrowing at night…”
