I know I've been pretty inactive in Pokeask recently, but this is a very lovely guide!

Welcome to the Pokemon Ask Blog Community!

A few people have been asking for a guide on how to make a blog, so I figured I'd whip up one. While there's no 'right' or 'wrong' way to blog, typically all ask blogs follow a formula of sorts, so here goes:

The community has had its fair share of unpleasant people come through the doors, and generally speaking we don't really appreciate it very much. The majority of people here are LGBT+ in some form and are generally very accepting of everyone, but there are some lines we don't cross here.

Everyone of all ages is welcome. Everyone of any creed or race is welcome, but basic human respect is basically a rule here and you will be found out if you're any of the above. This is not just a warning, it's a promise.

Having a Pinned post with all your basic links is a MUST for an ask blog. If you want people to be able to find your characters or send you asks, this is the easiest way to do so.

The amount of times I've seen artists burn out because they want every single ask to be a masterpiece of art is pretty much 70% of the community as a whole. Your art doesn't have to be your magnum opus. You're here to have fun, you're here to doodle. Don't burn yourself out.

Furthermore, most of us are visual people, so make sure to have a simple, straightforward description of your character's appearance in their profile if you do not have art of them.

As a note, do not use coloured words too much in your posts. Some of us are epileptic or visually impaired and highly dislike it. Occasional use for emphasis, like the bold option, is fine.

It's not an exact science, as sometimes things just don't go that way, but the more you interact, generally speaking the better chance you have of being seen.

An optional choice too is to join many of the Discord servers that are around for the community, if you'd like that. ^^~

A very useful addition to Tumblr was the add on for images! Hover over an image until you see the three '...' in the bottom right hand corner, and hit 'Update Image Description'.

You can't be expected to know everyone's triggers, but the basic ones are usually death, sexual references, gore, and anything with flashing lights or images, as demonstrated in the above tags. It's at the mod's discretion as to what they choose to cover, and most of us will ask in the comments section or ask box if we'd like a tag added to any posts you make. Most people will be nice enough to honour it if the request is reasonable.

The Ninetales still sits atop Mount Freeze, watching the sea below. It's quiet, aside from the blowing wind.

However, the scenery has changed, albeit very slightly.

Where there was once nothing but barren snow atop the peak, a single flower blooms among the snow, defying the odds.

Yet, Ninetales pays it no mind, continuing to stare out into the distance.

Ninetales is back, and is once again available for asks!

so, here's the thing. it'll be rebuilt every year, but that also means more opportunities for it to burn! if it was burned once and for all and never put up again, it'd be way less interesting, y'know?

also, they take it down eventually even if it doesn't burn. but it's more fun if it burns. and also looks really cool.

Ninetales stares at Wo. These masks were strange, to illusion someone's appearance to a humanlike one.

"I am alright," she says, tone flat. "It is not concern of yours."
