um, well. this is going to be a little bit hard to explain... take a seat somewhere, would you? don’t mind the mess... where should i start...? 

...i guess i could explain this simply, but it feels like an injustice if i’d do that... so, um, well, i’m her mechanic. i made her limbs, as well as the mechanisms that enable her to use her webs. it was a while ago, now... but i couldn’t tell you how long. i’m not all that good with years and stuff. i normally measure the long-term passage of time with what i’ve created during that time.

one day, i heard a knock on my door. i’d been working for about 20 hours straight before that, and it woke me up, so i kind of wrote it off as me hearing things. but i heard it again, so i got up and opened the door. ...this might seem insensitive to say, but even now i’m really not all that sure how she knocked on my door?

anyways. she came to me, saying that she had heard of my mechanical skills. she didn’t have any money to give, but she had amazing ideas--of course, the technical aspects were a bit... rough, so i smoothed over those edges. i was okay without receiving a payment (though it did hurt my wallet...), since the project felt incredibly worth it to me. i mean, spider limbs?! what was i supposed to do--say no?! there’s no way i’d refuse! it was such a cool idea. i wanted to make it a reality.

during that time, we spent a lot of time together... and, uh... i-i’m not going to detail... everything... but we got... pretty close. you get what i’m saying, right? i built it all for her, and we spent nights upon nights perfecting it. it was my idea for the spinning webs that she shoots out, actually. 

...one day, she disappeared... all that was left was a note...

i didn’t know where she was going. so... you can imagine my surprise when i saw her again in the manor. she was surprised too, of course. i was, uh, able to get over to the hunter’s manor--they’re separate from where the survivors would stay--so i could fix up her equipment and the like. so, uh... well... to answer your question...

my relationship with her... i’m her mechanic. and, well...

um... this is kind of embarrassing, so can we keep this between us? i’m sure you understand, right? ...plus, i’ll get in trouble if the owner of the manor finds out i’ve been sneaking over to the hunter’s side.

i dunno. i don’t have much of a particular preference, but i like foods that are easy and quick to eat. i forget to eat sometimes (...a lot...), so stuff like that is pretty helpful.

...i am partial to sweet foods, though.
