Not only would the adults in the gang be VERY unhealthy and probably not in shape to be doing any of the crazy shit they do in the game (shootouts, surviving in Colter, being chased by police, getting shot/stabbed/punched, dealing with a gang feud, etc.), but you want to know about Jack?

Jack is four; he's a growing child, and he needs a balanced diet and good food. He could literally die from Pearson's lack of feeding, lmao. I don't give a fuck how much effort you think Pearson is putting into keeping the gang alive because he literally is not doing enough. Realistically, they'd all be very unhealthy. You don't have to be a genius to know that it's not smart to only eat one bowl of unseasoned meat with a cut-up potato and carrot every day and basically nothing else but beer and cigars/cigarettes, or for the gang that doesn't smoke or drink, literally nothing.

Also, I think it's a bit weird to say everyone can feed themselves if they need more, as if the camp interaction where Abigail has to ask Arthur for money so she can buy Jack clothes because she literally can't afford it doesn't happen. They lost all of their money in Blackwater; any money they had before Colter was lost, and most of the girls don't go on jobs, so where are they getting their pocket money exactly? All spare money from jobs goes into Dutch's box to help the camp, not to give out so someone can go into town and buy canned food for a quick snack because Pearson can't make more than one meal a day.
