I can say that I wrote something, that's step 1 of any creative process.

The first hurdle is realising how little I know about that space, I'm seeing a lot of parallels to learning art.

I think what I've done is the equivalent of opening the bag and dumping everything out on the table.

It's like trying to render a whole illustration when you first pick up a pencil.

First thing is first - I don't read a lot, so that's like walking around with your eyes closed. Let's work on that before trying this again lol Still, writing is another skill, it'll take a lot longer to learn, time which I need to invest in my drawing right now, so perhaps once I'm more practiced there I'll try more tappy tappys.

We appreciate writers in this house.

Hello everyone! I have been working on this project for many, many months, if not a whole year by now -- but it is finally here! And so I present to you yet another documentation project:

The Outer Wilds Lore Map aims to be one big interactive web page containing as much of the OW lore as possible -- from physics data about how big (small, really) the planets are, to obscure fun facts about lore that could have been but was removed or retconned at some point, to whether or not Chert knows what Ash Twin looks like without its sand!

I have already spent a very long time writing it all in the tutorial and the coding itself, so I will rather let the images speak for themselves here. All I will say is that I have done everything I could in order to make it as intuitive and comfy an experience as possible. The lore is very lacking for now, and filling it will take a while -- but hey, wouldn't it be fun to do it with friends? If only in order to have people nag at me for all the typos, or if you disagree with something.

Fearmongering bullshit, but it's fearmongering bullshit that seems to be taking advantage of the recent spotlight series in order to trick authors into deleting their fics.

I appreciate you dropping by, I got tagged by @straweepy. I don't know how much I've talked about myself on this blog so I'll treat it like a meet the artist!

Favourite colour: Bright reds all the way. I used to dye my hair red on the regular. That being said, I've cooled off a lot, so let's lots of icey blues now.

Currently reading: James Gurney's Color and Light - Highly recommend it for anyone interested in drawing. How about some fiction? I'm super into manga, I'm re-reading Liar Game for the nth time. I just love anything that digs into the minds of people. Last song: I'm fuelled by hyper fixating on one song or video for months at a time. Otherwise, I'm all about the mocha bby Working on: I'm drifting towards character illustrations a lot lately, I think it'd be neat if I can start drawing anime fanart? You know like Genshin Impact style illustrations. There's a lot of character illustrators I've been drawn in by, so once I work out what I'm doing I'll start doing that. In the meantime, I'm having fun imagining our OW travelers in different scenarios.

Extra owl info: I live honestly as fully as myself as I can. It's quite fun being my weird self, I don't let anyone dictate my life nor who I am. Is that too serious haha /lh Anyway, I make lots of art now, seeing how much I can learn about it has just become part of my life. Perhaps @isopod-gender, @mercury-8083, @jennithedragon, @eruraima, @dekkiidan would want in on this? No pressure to respond if you don't wanna. Mokuren (ref) is an owlk that lives in a modern AU, they're the leader of a syndicate that protects the wellbeing of the community. Their methods are questionable, but their morals are not. Diorite (Dio lol) - the looping menace In some instances, a hatchling that becomes trapped in the loop is just the most miserable piece of garbage in existence. They have nothing but themselves in mind and become so self involved that nothing else matters around them.

They spend every cycle with no modicum of self reflection, no cares in the world and treat everything like a damn joke at everyone else's expense. No matter the cost.

They go around trying to inflict as much misery as they can, just because they are a literal sociopath.

--- Diorite exists as a looping hatchling who doesn't engage with the world around them, they are solely self serving. Their existence is purely surface, I needed an excuse to look at muscles.
