I've never been so proud to be #8. It was not a great season by the Rebels, but great compared to the last few years and left a nice foundation to build upon.

8. Ole Miss (7-6, 3-5 SEC): The Rebels had quite the first year under new coach Hugh Freeze. For a program that won just six games in the two previous seasons, Ole Miss grabbed seven, including its first bowl win since 2009, this year. The depth was lacking all year, but the heart wasn't, as the Rebels were much more competitive and won three SEC games after entering the season on a 14-game conference losing streak. Freeze did a tremendous job of changing the culture in Oxford, but the players did a great job of responding to adversity all season.

Wirecutter: The Best iPad Mini Cases (So Far!)

Returned the Apple Smart Cover to Walmart and the Speck FitFolio for iPad mini to Target and received the Joy Factory SmartSuit™ Mini for iPad mini (Black) from Amazon Friday. Definitely has the best feel of the three, it is light but protects the device well. Only thing I wish it had was a way to secure the cover while opened.

Highly recommended.

In its statement, Apple said it paid “an enormous amount of taxes” to local, state and federal governments. "In fiscal 2012 we paid $6 billion in federal corporate income taxes, which is 1 out of every 40 dollars in corporate income taxes collected by the U.S. government," it said.
