alr. assuming i'm making a radqueer picrew, should it be shoulders + up only or fullbody?

i enjoy creating outfits for the characters i draw and would have more options for posing with a fullbody one, but shoulders + up is less complex so i would get done faster (& has less chances for me to get demotivated & give up on it LMAO)

no part of my piercings are sharp at all so if i did actually swallow anything (jury's out on that btw since the part of it thats IN my mouth survived, the little ball that screws on is nowhere to be found but it's not like that regularly goes into my muth yk?? & tbf its tiny anyways so who knows where it ended up dhwauidhawiu) all that would happen is itll come out the other end at some point dkawjaiokw

we had therapy 4 a long time b4 our diagnosis n stuff.. n b4 we even realized we were transdid!

basically once we realized we

🍬 learned as much as we could online, on tumblr, n through podcasts (def def def recommend system speak podcast!!) abt did

🍬 when we had a good grasp on symptoms we started bringin dem up as things we “struggle” w (dissociation.. dpdr.. trauma triggers.. alter encounters..)

🍬 tried 2 describe da experiences w/o using clinical language

🍬 wrote in a journal after every appt 2 help keep our story str8 n reviewed it b4 each new appt

🍬 had a detailed specific n realistic trauma history planned, but acted like dat info was inaccessible / blocked / like we could c da effects of da trauma but not da trauma itself

🍬 planned a appt w a switch!!!! da “alter” we introduced (bow wow!!!) didnt have huge exaggerated differences… we just tried 2 act a lil bit different n share a v small amount abt our “trauma” dat our “host” wouldn’t know

🍬 basically rinse n repeat 4 years, slowly buildin our story, fleshin out alters, makin sense of symptoms, makin ourself believe we had dem, n religiously stickin 2 our story in therapy. only revealin a lil at a time!!

ok dis is a rly simple explanation n there’s lots more we could say abt dis but dis is basically how we got our diagnosis??

🍬 get comfy w lying! it’s v much a “fake it til u make it” kinda deal!!

🍬 if ur appt is at da end of august u should start heavily researchin did / makin a specific n believable trauma history 4 urself / tryin 2 understand n internalize did symptoms right away!!!!!

🍬 if ur psych don’t take u srsly after u talked abt dis 4 a while or if dey keep shuttin u down, get a second opinion!!! remember did is a controversial diagnosis n even some psychs n therapists dont believe in it

🍬 we’re accepted as a system by others in da system community n even in specifically traumagenic/did communities

🍬 we use simplyplural to track switches

🍬 we have a DID DIAGNOSIS YIPPEE!!!!! transid euphoria overload 🩵💚💛🧡

🍬 we have switches, dissociation, amnesia, trauma flashbacks, dpdr, n all sorts of other did symptoms

in total it took us like 3 years 2 reach dis point!

my last post was *checks notes* two months ago?? and the last time i was actually active regularly was in march of this year???? oh.

life & mental health got a bit crazy, and i ended up not being able to keep up this side of my online presence, sorry for disappearing on y'all without any warning ^^"

in no particular order, i:

started (&then stopped) going to an outpatient programme set up by my job agency

celebrated my birthday (yayy)

got a new PC and a new phone (not all at once lmao) which took time setting up and getting used to (it's the 'tism)

had multiple, separate, gender crisis

experienced some of the worst depressive episodes i've had since i was 16

and finally, realised that i am no longer plural i'm an empty system as of right now (●__●) no idea why, my leading theory is that the core members all fused while the less active/less developed/less structurally integral members collapsed?? but idk man

somehow, during all that (gestures vaguely at list) i managed to score an appointment with a psychiatrist later this year though, so i guess we take those????

anyways, please excuse me while i revamp my entire ass blog theme (again) and begin look out for new blogs to follow and new headmates to form JDAIODJIOWAWA

one thing to note is that the tag originated as "actually autistic" because (iirc) the "autism" tag was used by allistic parents of autistic children, rather than autistic people themselves & "actually autistic" was meant to be a "i myself am autistic and posting about it, rather than posting about someone else being autistic while i am not" tag /info

I just think any "actually (disorder)" tag is ableist inherently but I don't know how ready any of you are for that conversation. Cause based on what I'm seeing we still haven't gotten past the "cis = real & trans = fake" shit yet and seeing that from this community is disappointing beyond measure. I think some of us need to grow a spine and start thinking about the fact that to accept our peers in any manner we might have to figure out we've got some internal bigotry on what we consider a "real" disorder. That's just my opinion, but yknow, I can't remember a time where I was wrong, so I'm just saying.
