Thank you to @audaellom for this beautiful commission of Prompto and my FFXV OC, Penna! (Anyone have a guess as to where the lyrics are from?)

This scene is from my in-progress fic, What Makes a Monster. In this later chapter, after Prompto is rescued from his prison cell in Zegnautus Keep, he confesses his feelings to Penna as she tends to his injuries. However, he worries that he isn't worthy enough to be with her, given his recently discovered origins as a Magitek clone. Prompto accepts if Penna doesn't return his affections, but to his surprise and joy, she does!

Penna loves everything about Prompto: his freckles, his hair, his laugh, his stupid puns and his adoration for chocobos and photography. But more than anything, Penna loves how kind Prompto is, and how he never viewed Penna as different because her own past and Starscourge powers. He showed her that she can be more than what others think of her.

If he can have that much compassion for her, Penna surmises, then Prompto can do the same for himself. Even though the two of them aren't exactly human...that doesn't mean they're incapable or unworthy of love.

Oooh boy I can't wait to write this scene in my fic. It's gonna be so unapologetically sappy XD (and maybeee....a little spicy? You'll have to wait and see for that part ;) )
