TIAMAT
Primal Chaosdragon and mother of all Gods and Demons.
There is a Website with the name paganbookofhours that gives me a lot of inspiration. So today is the day of TIAMAT.
And what a day it was. It started wild with the vote in the US. More chaos in the world of power and politics. At home the computer of my wife broke down before an important deadline. A stone I carry with me is damaged too. No yoga and meditation today. Beautiful weather and a lot of work. I started this work yesterday and just posted it as a reel on Insta. The computer is also working again(;
Thank you TIAMAT- you are a great goddess!
Have a great day !

Mordgud guards the main gate to Helheim. She is aiding and shepherding dead souls. She is a tall and muscular etin-woman who appears in shining black armor. Her black tower stands at the Gjallarbru bridge. She is honorable and her job is much like Heimdall's.

The motif, which can be purchased in my shops (teepublic and spreadshirt), shows a mysterious scene:
two ravens are sitting in front of a tree, beneath them the moon is reflected on the deep water in the form of a mysterious black disk, which allows for various interpretations.
I personally see a mysterious eye in the lower part.
The creation of this motif was an adventure with an unknown outcome.
I wanted to draw a motif with ravens and a tree to get in the mood for Oðínn.
The finished picture embodies liminality and witchcraft like Oðínn.
It is a crossroads of different paths.
I think anyone can wear it as it allows for many interpretations ( Witchcraft, Norse, Celtic, Taoism, Demonolatry, etc.)
Huginn and Muninn
(thought and memory):
In Grímnismál 20 Oðínn speaks about his two ravens:
Huginn and Muninn fly everyday over the expansive earth;
I am anxious about Huginn, that he will not comes back,
Though I fear even more for Muninn.
Edred Thorsson writes in his book 'Alu, An Advanced Guide to Operative Runology' that Oðinn is more concerned with his memory. Thoughts are meaningless without memory. But Muninn represents more than just remembering. Muninn embodies deep mythological grasping and preservation of truths that the rational mind cannot comprehend.
Have a great night!

Hi Sophia, thank you for charing you wonderful knowledge. I more or less took the knowledge from books. Yes of course what does warlike mean? Your experiences answers all that. I am more an artist. I dont like the simplification of gods too. I think your feelings and thoughts are right.
What did war mean in the old times? It was probably some kind of test of spiritual luck and primal virtues. So Tyr was probably a god of War in a way that Victory in a battle between tribes was decided by past deeds, honor and Karmic laws. So I guess wargod doesn't necessarily mean to fight in a battle or direct the outcome of a battle. I think Tyr could be the god that was the rolemodel for honor and Integrity and because of that he probably had to be a god of war and victory for the tribes.
Please check out my Instagram account. Thank you!

Tyr Tuesday
Tshirt and more by Audasunda on teepublic and spreadshirt.
Tuesday is the day of Tyr - the norse god of victory, justice, war and honour. It was his karma or wyrd to bind the giant wolf Fenrir. Dispite the high price he had to pay - the loss of his swordhand... he did what had to be done without hesitation.
Tyr is a true warrior who can help us make lonely, necessary decisions even when there is no obvious reward.
