Earlier this year there was an Anon ask about this event being reprised. The ATLA Rare Pair Big Bang isn't quite the same, but is in much the same spirit of this original event.

Summary:

It is said that the Moon and the Sea are in love. So tell the myths, passed down from ancestors to descendants since time immemorial, and painted across the ice that covers the Spirit Oasis. Tales of their eternal dance, push and pull, ceaselessly moving the world and gifting waterbending to their chosen ones among the Water Tribes that venerate them. If they were human, Lo Ansi would have deemed them the ideal soulmates, and quite surely, tied them together with the silken thread of Destiny.

But the Moon dances in such a way with another spirit, too. And when the Moon took a human vessel, Lo Ansi took that human’s thread and tied it to someone else… because the ways of the Spirits are rarely upfront, and Destiny is indeed a strange thing.
