Magnolia Blossom, my ponification of Mahiru Koizumi!

Read below for a bit of my thoughts about designing her:

She is an Earth Pony of humble origin who is hardworking and traditional, but also reliable and trustworthy. Magnolia didn’t know what her CM would be by her name alone, but she found herself admiring other ponies and the small moments in when they truly smiled, even if just for a second. She found she wanted to capture that moment, that beauty, and gained her CM.

I wanted to make her not immediately Photography Themed (despite her being one of the ultimates to which the talent is most obvious) bc Mahiru is all about dependability and, well, normality. She’s a grounded character in a cast full of crazy ones, so I wanted to characterize her in that sense through her design. Don’t get me wrong, she’s still a photographer through and through, but I tend to be literal with names and CMs in my OCs, so this was a challenge to myself as well.
