not to get overly poetic about it but...nalu as a dynamic is kinda crazy to me like. what if we were best friends? what if we were kinda silly and ridiculous and stupid about each other? what if we were connected across time and space for 400 years? what if we bumped into each other on a random tuesday? what if you changed my life? what if we had a dogged, unwavering and irrational faith in each other right from the get go? what if the greatest tragedy of my life was directly linked to the greatest tragedy of yours? what if, in a different timeline, i watched you and the rest of my friends die, and there was nothing i could do about it? what if i watched a future version of you die and i sobbed over your broken body? what if you were my last tether to humanity? what if i broke the laws of magic to save you? what if you came back to me in the place we first met? what if we were meant to be in every single universe? what if we still chose each other, every single time, anyway?

i’m so serious when i say nalu is the goofiest ship in fairy tail and also the one that makes me lose my mind the most. like look at them. look at these screenshots. they are so chronically unserious it’s actually romantic. why are they always matching each other’s chaotic energy??? like they weren’t just meant for each other, they were engineered in a lab to be the two most ridiculous people in the guild and then fall in love about it. the synchronized screaming. the dramatic hand-holding like someone just proposed. the way natsu sparkles while lucy looks five seconds away from homicide. they are so stupid. they are SO STUPID. and yet so in sync it makes my brain short-circuit.

they’re soulmates in the most obnoxious way possible. not in a soft “we complete each other” kind of way but in a “we got kicked out of a restaurant for sword fighting with breadsticks” way. and they’d be laughing the whole time. they match each other’s every step, every tone, every over-the-top facial expression like they’re one shared creature split into two hot idiots. i love them so much it physically pains me. like this isn’t even about romance anymore. this is about divine comedy. this is about two people being so chaotic together that the universe just gave up and said “fine. fine. you win. be together forever.” and they will. they will be so annoying and dramatic and in love until the end of time. and i’ll be right there cheering them on

"Iz/cha is so lovable and cute! How can you dislike it?"

Yeah, it's very cute how, for the majority of the story, Deku only remembered Uraraka's existence when she was right in front of him.

It's very cute how two people had to die so their corpses could encourage them to "talk more" after 8 years of barely talking in an extra chapter of the final volume.

It's very cute that Deku can call her his hero, since he's the only one who could do that, given that she failed every other time she tried to save any other named character (which was what, twice? Toga and Nighteye). Although I'm not sure if "hero" is even the correct term. "Cheerleader" seems to fit more.

It's also very cute how Uraraka's crush comes up every time she has a significant amount of screen time. (It really makes it hard to like Uraraka's character if you don't like her ship with Deku.)

Just because a ship is drawn in a cutesy way doesn't mean it's well-written. Why would I root for bad writing when the bad writing isn't even enjoyable? The manga's quality would be so much better without it.

It would improve Uraraka's character by a lot, Izuku wouldn't have had to become a shell of himself at the end just so he could end up with her, and Toga and Shigaraki wouldn't have been so disrespected.

What I don't understand is why Iz/cha shippers don't have any standards. And why they think that the only reason people would dislike their ship is because it is het. There are plenty of enjoyable and well-written het ships. Even in shounen. Iz/cha just isn't one of them.

IzuOcha is a lovable and cute ship. Ochako has always been supportive of Izuku and kind to him throughout the series. She was Izuku's first actual friend and someone who truly treated him as human. She is his hero not because she dies for him in a danger situation but because she has been there for him emotionally and as a genuine friend who always uplift him. Ofc Izuku would fall for this girl and would want to start something new with her. I like Bakugo's development but tbh, he was too late into the game and majority of his actions come off as him trying to make up for his past bully behavior. Count that he was still in his jerk era in the beginning of the UA days meanwhile Ochako had already built a close bond with Izuku and they became supportively close. She was the one who changed Deku's negative name to a positive one, she was the one who gave Izuku her own points so he would pass the entrance exam. She was the first kind person Izuku met at school. Ochako never ever demeaned Izuku. How can you even dislike a ship like this just because it is straight?

yeah I think its disgusting and every time I see a beautiful woman end up in an underdeveloped relationship it ruins it for me.

i dislike it bc its boring af -and it perpetuates the idea that a boy and a girl cant just be best friends, even when in the story there isnt equal romantic development like at all.

i dont need to know how "healthy" it is when ochako has to be insecure and unable to even try to talk to him in 8 years, and be plagued by visions of Himiko, and deku has to just notice they dont talk anymore -not even missing her before. I dont care if you like it or see how its nice, just dont come here trying to argue how its good bc it has no conflict -yeah, thats kind of the problem, they have the literal same way of thinking, tendencies and same storyline apparently with their villains. You are not making me like it no matter how much you tried -even if it was queer, I wouldnt enjoy it as an endgame bc it has nothing to hold it together beyond "shes cute! shes nice! she wont ask for help ever and a high school crush will always take priority in a woman's life! they should date!".

And it wasn't a positive change -we saw how his "im the deku who does his best" is exactly what led to him almost dying against Shigaraki -thats literal text. She for some reason is always, always made to be unable to move or act whenever it involves him and im not even just talking about romance -this is about how when she was told deku would die by Sir Nigheye, and had to take him to a safe space, she literally says she cant move to help, she becomes paralyzed and falls. The moments she is able to actually expand as a hero and have agency is when he isnt the thing in focus, which leads me to see how actually this pair would harm her more than help her. And from deku, well, he sees her as his hero and someone who always helps him. Yeah. What about it? Coming from the hero nerd, in a manga about multiple characters being each other's heroes, it doesnt come off as romantic -bc it wasn't romantic, and he didnt intend to do so. Even ignoring this, it isnt enough to claim he is in love, or that it makes sense for the story to make them be an actual, undoubtable couple -irl ppl constantly date ppl who are the exact same as them to the point they look like siblings, yeah, but in a story contrasts and balance work much better. It was a vanilla ship at first, but now they have way too many similarities -the only difference I could think about is him not having a problem telling her he wants to talk more and her being completely unable to do so, but this isnt good; it means she had to lose her agency and stay insecure, even tho she is one of the most emotionally supported characters in the cast.

She not being mean to him isnt a good reason to date someone -I shouldn't need to say that.

If it was m/m it would just be one sided crush on a clueless boy, and if it was f/f it would be ignored over Himiko and Ochako and their sapphic drama. I would love to see discussions about identity and love in a shonen involving so open queer characters, but I wouldnt ship it.

Now get out of my account, you wont see me talking positively about them in canon and it makes no sense to try to keep watching posts from someone who doesnt agree with you like at all-they can be cute and all of that in fanon, but canon? oh no, thats actually such a terrible message that you should just date the first girl thats nice to you, and she should just wait for you years.

I have this little theory that Lucy would have had even a worst time if Fairy tail never disbanded, and only Natsu left.

Something about forcing herself to go about her daily life with everyone but him, the person who she spent all her days with for years.

Going to the guild, and always noticing how it’s not the same because he is not there, always so calm and without chairs flying around because of the lack of fights.

Forcing herself to go on adventures without the very person that made those adventures happen in the first place.

Never leaving her original apartment, the very apartment they used to spend so much time together, playing board games, eating together and having their usual banter.

Waking up and missing his warmth, even though she usually ended up throwing him out of the bed.

So weird how a single person can changer your entire word so drastically

the third one was manga only but i really love that scene and wish the anime included that. i think thats when natsu started to actually acknowledge lucy (b4 that he was kinda mean lmao). its when they save macao, natsu and macao fall off the cliff or smth and lucy saves them and natsu looks at her with a huge smile and a tiny blush haha. (also how the hck do u draw someone from that pov they were in... idk.

4th one is from when erza says they should formally become a team and natsu says it wont be the sam without lucy.

5th is nalu vs kain and 6th is from the final episode.
