And it made me think about doing kinda the same but when Dean tells Cas about personal space in episode 5x03. So, it could be Cas (his vessel) moving backwards and away from Dean as he asked but Cas (his trueform) could still be so close to Dean, in his personal space.

I ABSOLUTELY see your vision. I didn't think about it before but yeah the mental image is hilarious. Now I headcanon that the reason it took Castiel so much time to step back was because he was confused whether Dean meant it for him or his vessel. Like 'HOW tf are we supposed to have personal space in this 10 feet bathroom Dean???? Half of my torso is already squished out?? Are you really the righteous man???OH oh you mean my vessel'.
