i do enjoy how the clearly aged playerbase and changing state of media has drastically changed perception of the player character in wizard101

intent-wise you know the Young Wizard was whisked away by Ambrose to go learn magic and fight wizard battles as a fun magical escapist fantasy for children. back when most of the playerbase was children, and escapist fantasy stories like this were popular, nobody really questioned this much. but now that the wizard101 fanbase is full of adults everyone's like "What the hell? Your player is a child who was ripped from their home, trained to become a soldier and fight some old man's battles for him? Are they okay???"

I absolutely NEED to write an essay on the narratives of Wizard 101. Particularly how the sharp narrative shift of Arc 2 & 3 would shatter a players' view of Arc 1 (ESPECIALLY if you are a loooong time player of Wiz.) 😭😭

As you play through the arcs the wizard grows up, and many of us have grown up and been playing w101 for years. The game thanks the YOU 🫵 for saving the spiral, growing up with them, and sharing the experience too. ❤️❤️

It ends how it begins-

With it slowly zooming out from the spiral, then revealing that nostalgic title card: Wizard 101

Then, "Thank *you* for playing young wizard"

*fades to black*

okay wizblr im genuinely curious. what is YOUR (yes you) ideal overall ending to wiz? if arc 5 was the last arc, how would you want the story of wizard101 to end?
