THE MAKING OF: MOCEDADES
So we are officially beginning pre-production for this amazing series. It's going to be a long ride, and I am grateful to have Alan Godina as the director of this project, which is very personal to me.

What is a character?
It is a part of you that could’ve been, is, wants to be, or could never be.
How do you write a character?
Start with the present, identifying his desire and his need. A desire is an idealization, and a need is acceptance. Then, move to the future and have a clear ending.
And after knowing the end of your character, now you can build a past, a life story.

WHAT DO WE WRITE ABOUT?
Ideas never get made, so what is it?...
Over a long period of time I've been asked by producers and editors, how is that my imagination works to elaborate stories that are deep, complex, yet easy to understand.
Countless times I have said, that these are not ideas that come from brainstorming. We've been told that ideas are the seed for a book, play or screenplay, that is just not true. Ideas are temporary, they come and go and it is rare that they get stuck in our head enough time to turn into a long term project such as a book or a screenplay.
So what do we write? After being a writer for so many years and meditating on this question I've come to the conclusion that we write three types of anecdotes that can turn into a movie or book:
Themes
Realities
Stories
I see a lot of questions rising now... read more about it here.
