How come whenever black people say that Hoodoo is closed to nonblack witches the FIRST THING white witches say is “Well then only white witches can practice Celtic/Hellenistic paganism (or any other OPEN European religion/spiritual practice).

Like it just shows how uneducated y’all are. Honestly. Celtic and Hellenistic paganism are OPEN practices. There is no requirements to join. Hoodoo was made by SLAVES, SLAVEESSSSS! Made by African slaves FOR African slaves and their descendants to help protect themselves. Why, as a white witch, would you want to use the spirits of slaves and black ancestors to do work for you??? Like why???

Gods I need more witchy friends, I go to talk to my partner (who is very supported) about stuff involving witchcraft and he just kinds gives me a blank stare lmao

I'm looking for more slavic/polish witches to interact with, although I'm not sure how to interact as I've never done something like this before!

My grandfather is from Poland but I am very disconnected from it, and I'd like to learn more in terms of slavic witchcraft and folk practices but finding materials that are in english, or even better actually written down is so hard to do as a lot of slavic magic is passed down thru generations.

Having a someone to discuss things with would be nice, but even if you just post about slavic/polish folk magic is fine with me!

some handy animal husbandry folkore tips or, as I like to call them, “slavs and their spit beliefs”:

- if your cow doesn’t want to eat or looks weak and sickly, spit into its mouth three times. bold.

- if you want to check the cow’s teeth to assess its age, spit into its mouth three times so it doesn’t get unruly or charmed. 

- if you’re about to get attacked by a dog, spit into its eyes three times to scare it away. I assume you should learn to spit very fast.

- if your horse is restless and keeps shaking, spit at it three times so it stops. I’m sure it won’t mind.

- when chicks hatch, spit around them three times so they’re not charmed or sickly.

- generally you should spit three times at any animal being born so it doesn’t get charmed or ill. that’s love, folks.

When you can actually see the self love manifesting💖✨

Lately I’ve been all about love work. There’s so much going on in my life and it’s so quick to get caught up in the stress of it all. Self love magic lets me indulge in my favorite things while honoring the physical altar my Ancestors gifted me. The incredible warmth of their love gives me the courage to love myself and push past all the ways I was taught to limit myself. I’ve been learning to trust myself and the results are so rewarding and feel so good. Here’s a quick working for self love that has been my go to lately.

🌹Rose and Sweet Milk rinse🌹

~I do this when I don’t have the time for a full bath or have access to a tub. Modified from my bf’s white magic spell, this is done on a Friday (and fridays are great for promoting and attracting positive relationships into ones life)~

In a pot over low to medium heat combine:

•milk

•cinnamon

•dried rose petals

•grated ginger

•And crushed sorrel! Sorrel, a type of hibiscus, is a staple in a Caribbean household. Not only does it taste really good, it’s got deep beautiful color when made, and has many medicinal values. I use sorrel to draw in love, joy, and good health.

I heat this until it’s a bit warm and has nice color from the rose and sorrel, then I add honey 🍯

I pour it out into a cleansed vessel (I use a Our Lady of Guadalupe 7 day glass from a past self love working) and carve my name into three candles. I’ve seen pink candles used but I use red votive candles because a pack of four is a dollar at dollar tree and they smell like apple cinnamon 😋 I light and place my candles in the shower and put my vessel in a safe spot.

While showering, I repeat positive affirmations to myself. I am intelligent, I am charming, I am strong, and I have the ability to handle whatever life throws at me with confidence and grace. I am the embodiment of my Ancestors, I am their determination, I am their wit, I am their beauty and I reflect the spirits of the honorable and highly favored. 🙌🏾

When I’m finished, I take the glass vessel and pray the petition on the back. I say my own prayer while swirling the mixture and then I pour it on myself, making sure it hits the back of my neck and chest especially. Then I AIR DRY; no toweling off! It’ll just rub off the work 😞
