Alphabets! We've been practicing dragging images from the internet and learning to select, copy, and paste using keyboard shortcuts to bring them into photoshop:
⌘A = Select All
⌘ C= Copy
⌘V= Paste

Harriet Tubman, James Bevel and Rochelle Ballantyne cut across decades of Black History, they all pave the way for others to believe in themselves and to be great.

Graham, both Ethans, and Irwin worked on looking super cool as they transformed themselves into these digital portraits. I like the side by side approach so  you can see where they started off.

Shawn, Xavier, and Mason are photoshop newbies, but they definitely got the hang of it as class went on. They used the paintbrush and paint bucket tools to make these digital self portraits based on selfies they took in photobooth.

Brandon is also learning how to do some parallaxing. Cool elements of this project include using the Clone Stamp and the Content Aware mode to "fill" in Adobe Photoshop. He got the image looking awesome, made in 3D one in After Effects and then goofed around with "puppeting" until he figured out the movements he wanted. So cool!

The Godfather of Soul by Justice Rosa and The King of Pop by Hector! The Juniors researched on the internet to learn more about these towering figures in black history and then worked in Adobe Illustrator to make these awesome collages to celebrate Black History Month. Rachel and I broke into a pretty fabulous rendition of, "I feel good!" to familiarize the boys, I'm sure that was the highlight!

Aden Dixon focuses on Sojourner Truth while Michael Rodriguez learned about Eartha Kitt! The juniors did a great job with their research and then created these awesome photo collages in Adobe Photoshop in celebration of Black History Month.

In celebration of Black History Month, the juniors are learning about some lesser known American heroes! Devonne Palmer played with the opacity of these images to create this photo collage about activist, Fannie Lou Hamer, and Palmer Ethan Hernandez created this collage, also in photoshop, about author Virginia Hamilton.
