Last night I had a dream I woke up to find that my house had been turned into a Smart House with every wall being a digital screen including the roof so I could see it even laying on bed and the Siri voice said “Don’t worry. It’s specific to like three counties in Pennsylvania (of course there is drift. I hear it across the Ohio border) but 9/10 times when you hear it they’re from that super small area.

I was living in Washington talking to a colleague I’d known for several months who’d never said where he was from and had a super neutral accent but one day he said “yinz” and I turned to him like an activated sleeper agent and said “🫵🏻 Pittsburgh” and he looked genuinely afraid
