How is the premiere tonight?? Even though it’s been so long, I don’t feel ready. I don’t feel prepared. I’m so hopeful, but there is so much at stake (*reminds self - this is a fictional tv show*). I’m almost afraid to look. But, but, abc has got me hopeful (and so has Ryan).

I love it when Oliver Stark uses the word “lovely” to describe things. Especially when it’s video and you get to hear the accent with it. Extra especially when he’s using it to describe the Buddie dynamic. It’s just so lovely.

Watching 5x15, FOMO, and all the current crew (Bobby, Buck, Chim, Hen, Lucy) are having a convo in the engine on the way to a call. None of them are driving. So who is? Is the engine self-driving? If not, who the hell is the random listening to their weird-ass conversation? What is that person thinking? Why are they not saying anything, just ignoring everyone and driving along? Did they draw the short straw? Do all the other firefighters seek to avoid the firefam if they can? Why can’t we know who it is? I have so many questions!!!

ABC looking at all these Buddie warriors wondering ‘wtf did we get ourselves into’

The speed at which new bts and speculation is coming out, I almost can’t keep up I’m so out of practice. But so happy to get back on the ride!

Whatever else happens in season 7 at some point they need to explain what the fuck they were thinking with this nonsensical bullshit!

First off, what was the point of him having this breakthrough during his coma, to revert to being desperate to be seen? He remembers everything else from the coma dream. Did he forget this or lean nothing from it?

Worse, as soon as Natalia starts to get to know him, its too much and she leaves, with the same last words as his other exs. Yeah, she comes back days later but she's still another person who abandoned him. Shenalso judges his past and questions his life choices. Her only real interest in Buck is his experience with death.

Meanwhile, he has someone who's always seen him and never given up on him. Someone who's been supportive and understanding. Buck doesn't have to take care of himself. Eddie takes care of him. Just like Buck takes care of Eddie.

Seriously 911 make it make sense! Or better yet, FIX THIS SHIT!!!!

Can we talk for a minute about Buck running to Eddie’s to escape Maddie’s post-lightening wellbeing check people and the interactions they have? Buck goes to Eddie’s because he knows he can be himself there, he can be comfortable, he can just be, without pretension, without acting. We don’t know why Eddie never went to Buck’s to begin with - maybe because he knew Buck would want space, he knew all the attention would be overwhelming for him. When he gets to Eddie’s, Buck can tell Eddie not to ask how he is because he knows he can be real with him. Eddie gives him that space as much as he wants to ask, he lets Buck be what he needs in that moment. And the couch metaphor, which would later meet an unfortunate end, comes into play - he’s not comfortable in the couch his parents bought him, but falls right to sleep on the couch belonging to his other family, as that is where he is comfortable.

And then the whole scene in the kitchen while Eddie is making that god-awful sandwich (sorry Chris, I thought your Dad had learned some skills). Buck feels comfortable enough to begin opening up about how he’s really feeling. Eddie saves his expressions of concern until then. They talk about real things. Eddie talks about his experience being shot without hesitation when it bothered him before. Buck admits that he is not as okay as he told everyone else.

But also. And this is what gets it for me. Eddie goes about his daily life while Buck sleeps in his living room like it happens all the time. When Buck asks for water Eddie uses Spanish with him and calls him sir, like he did in his dream with Chris the night after his breakdown. It’s so, so domestic. Buck fits there. None of it is odd because Buck is family. Eddie says it without thought. He keeps making lunch while he talks with Buck, and Buck sits there as he does it because it’s normal for them.

Come on guys. What is this if it’s not family. What is this if it’s not love.

Watching the back half of season 6 and there is so much buddie and buddifer. The last episode of season 6 just doesn’t fit with the rest. Like a way to wrap it all up neatly and quickly if need be, as others have said. That gives me hope for season 7 because it’s a chance to pick up where the story really left off, at the end of ep 17. To do right by what was slowly and deliberately and thoughtfully crafted up to this point. To get back to the careful storytelling and weaving of narratives that we got used to. There’s so much potential for what could be explored - will, shooting, just their everyday them - that makes me excited for could be in store. So I’m going to have some faith.

Crazy that at the end of The Searchers, when Buck is doing the voiceover at the end post-tsunami, he talks about searching for someone who sees him; wanting to be found, searching for dreams and futures and family, before we know about his relationship with his parents, his struggles to know who he is and to be in healthy relationships, all his life.

And Eddie and Chris show up at his door. Of course their appearance is so meaningful in that moment. But when we find out about Buck’s past, when we learn how long and hard he has been searching for his family, his future, his dreams, knowing all that and then watching Eddie and Chris find him, seeing them be the key that unlocks those dreams and that future, it just hits different.

Hi everyone! I saw that there hasn't been a Buddie Week in a few years and that the account hosting this hasn't been active. I tried to get in contact but they never responded. Weeks dedicated to ships were always my favorites in different fandoms, so I decided, why not try to host it myself?

I am aware this can me stressful to do on my own, but I am giving it a chance! Besides, it'll be in 2024 so I'll have time to prepare.

That said, I want to ask YOU for some help figure out when this week should take place. This will happen in different polls.

First: today (November 3rd) this post will contain the first poll which season this week should be held:

Based on which season has the most votes, I will do another poll which month would be your favorite choice (unless December wins). Then when a month is chosen, there will be a poll which week should be used.

I might also do a poll which form of the week. Personally I use Monday-Sunday, but I know there are also people who use Sunday as the first day of the week.

Once we have chosen a week, we can start doing prompts! A form will be up for several weeks where you can suggest prompts. Then the most sent + my own favorites get put in a new form where you can vote.

There will be a poll to see if you want alternate prompts, multiple prompts a day to choose from, like @whumptober does for their events, or only 7 promps - 1 for each day. Then based on the amount of prompts needed, the ones with the most votes will be put in Buddie Week 2024.

Buddie week is for everyone!

You can do anything: Fics, gifsets, collages, video editing, picture editing, podcasts, playlists, podfics, art, poems. Whatever you want to create, you can do it!

EXCEPT THE USE OF AI IS FORBIDDEN!

Guys. Finished S2 rewatch and it is *so* good. So many big and small moments. Such great weaving together of storylines, beautiful character building. Maybe also because I know there are still so many great moments to come. I hope ABC takes some notes from that season, maybe it can redeem some of the dumpster fire that was the end of S6. Make things make sense.
