Regret and Resurrection

Omega hums quietly as he looks over the balcony at the sunset

He glances over at Terzo who is playing and fidgeting with his hands, which is normally very unusual for Terzo but recently has been happening more often

Terzo was resurrected a few weeks ago and even though a lot of changes happened they've never left each other's side

The Stitches on his neck, the random twitches and the almost constant nightmares were definitely something that Omega had to get used to but he didn't mind

Terzo had wanted to go outside at clear his mind and spend time with Omega again

Terzo had isolated himself after the resurrection, the fear and confusion of what happened and why and how Omega and the other feel about him now that he's back

Terzo brings his hand up to his neck he touches and runs his fingers on the stitches while looking out at the sunset

"Are you sure your ok?" Omega says as he holds Terzos hand to stop him from touching the stitches

He doesn't know if the stitches can get infected or come undone but he certainly doesn't wanna find out

"Yes, Amore I-i'm fine" Terzo says, looking out at the sunset before looking back at Omega with with a weak smile

Omega looks at him, knowing the obvious lie

"No your not, we both know it" Omega says as he squeezes Terzo's hand gently

Terzo stays quiet and avoids eye contact

He ponders about leaving the room or changing the topic but instead he sighs

"C'mere" Omega says as he opens his arms

Before Omega can even blink Terzo hugs him tightly, his eyes begin to get glossy as Omega wraps his arms around him

"I-i m scared to do anything" Terzo begins, taking a shaky breath before continuing

"I'm scared to eat, I'm scared to drink, I'm scared to even breath, Megs, I'm scared that one day these stitches are gonna fall off or something and I-ill be gone again" Terzo says with his voice breaking

Omega listens and rubs his hand up and down Terzos back, empathy, protectiveness and love builds up more in his mind

He hates it, he hates that Terzo feels this way but he also hates that Terzo could be right

They don't know how the stitches got there, they don't know how easy they went in or how easy they could come undone

But he also hates guilt and dread that begins to build up in his mind

he also hates how he wasn't there for Terzo in his last moments

He had left to go help another ministry with something and didn't plan on coming back because him and Terzo were on bad terms for a bit

And the worst part is it wasn't even Terzo's fault for that

Terzo was distant and always paranoid and Omega thought Terzo was just being weird or keeping something from him

They'd been busy during touring and busy at the ministry so no one was in their right mind

But everything is still his fault

They had a small fight about something stupid and He volunteered at the other ministry to he distance himself from Terzo for a bit

He wasn't there in Terzo's last moments

He hates himself everyday for that

Omega's breath hitches and he holds Terzo Terzo

"I won't let that happen"

Terzo opens his mouth to tell him that there's not much omega could do about it in reality but he keeps his mouth shut and hugs Omega Tighter

He nods and sniffles as his eyes get watery

He hugs omega as if it was his last time to do it

Omega hugs him as if something was going to take Terzo from him

Eventually it gets darker and Omega moves a strand of hair out of Terzo's face with a soft smile

"Let's go to bed, my love" Omega says

Terzo let's out a breath and looks up at omega and nods

They go back in the room, closing the balcony door, getting into pajamas then finally laying down after the long day

Terzo sighs softly and looks up at omega as he lays on omegas chest

Omega gently pets Terzo's hair and rubs his back gently

Omega looks down at Terzo

"Are you ok?"

"I love you"

"I love you too"

Terzo sighs and lays more on omegas chest comfortably

Omega looks up at the roof, thinking quietly to himself

He would do anything to protect Terzo

Even if that meant fighting a thousand ghouls or even being let go at the ministry

His thoughts get interrupted by Terzo's quiet and soft snoring

Omega smiles and sighs as he lays down more and closes his eyes, drifting off to sleep as well
