I don't go much into the drama in the fandom, but I was scrolling through tiktok, and it keeps rubbing me the wrong way how people are explaing away ET and Hollyberry and being like, "They're not queer/they don't have feelings for each other! They're just there bcuz of the update!"

Like, I thought fandom grew past trying to "explain away" a characters queerness. Like, ik it's just people who probably don't like beast x ancient, but c'mon. Not believing someone is queer just bcuz you don't like it is homophobic. If it was just for the update, Pavlova, Tiger Lily, and Sugarfly would've been there as well, but they chose these 2.

ET also straight up calls Holly "my love" twice, but people still say it doesn't mean anything, and judge US for looking into it.

Idk man, I'm just venting. I don't think people mean to be homophobic about it, but all the arguments I see are, "Just because they appeared in a pride post doesn't mean they're queer!" It's frustrating having to deal with homophobia in a fandom that's usually so accepting
