My favourite (vaguely unpopular) ships:

Thomgelica (Hamilton): I think people overlook this for little reason considering it is a historical fact these two were up to something. The evidence Angelica and Alexander were flirting was equal if not lesser to the evidence Thomas/Angelica were. Some of their letters use literary references to talk about hooking up. One of them (from Thomas to her) begins "The morning you left us, all was wrong..."

Morgana/Gwen (Merlin): I don't think they're unpopular it's just that people are so busy shipping MerArthur they get heavily overlooked. I love these two so damn much lol

Jily (Harry Potter/Marauders): Again not inherently UNpopular but overshadowed by other ships (no hate to Jegulus I just ship this more personally) which is always a shame. I love these two so much aaaaaa-

Marliza (Hamilton): Actually I think these two are... fairly popular? But there is a lot of dispute among fans as to whether they were cousins (no they weren't don't worry that was a dumb rumour) and this means a lot of people like to hate on the ship. If you don't like it don't read it that's a-ok but I love them with my entire heart.

Roger/Mimi (RENT): Not necessarily my OTP but I read one fanfic and I really like these guys lol

Mercy/Swan (Warriors, both old movie and new album): THESE TWO ARE BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT IN EVERY UNIVERSE AND I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL

Kary (SiX the musical fandom): so the fandoms pretty small but a very underrated ship is K Howard and Mary and OH MY GOD I LOVE THEM SO SO MUCH every fic I've read for them is incredible.

Jeggy (Hamilton): Yes, I ship Madison and Peggy. No they never interact. No I don't care. Extremely underrated, very cute, 10/10

Eurydice/Persephone (Hadestown): Honestly I prefer Orydice but I read one fic (It's called Loser (just like me) by Technophobiia on AO3) and now I'm in love but maybe I just like projecting.

Mantis/Nebula (Marvel): Actually have no idea if it's popular or how popular it is since I'm not hugely into the Marvel world BUT these two are so cute my MOTHER ships them so-

I've always wondered... The title of Robert Louis Stevenson’s most famous piece of work is ‘The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ right? And spoiler alert, but the twist is that they are literally the same man. Except only one of them has a doctorate. So maybe an unexplored theme of the book is 'only cute people get to be medical practitioners'
