When Beth wakes up to her memos...
Lewis:Please either give me a good pair of pants or dump me back into my grave- thank you
Zebulon: I too, would like to go back to my grave, but I'm indifferent as to what pants you give me.
Nellie: I have no other request except maybe some walnuts. I would like some walnuts.

YES I CAN c-section woman for the win
In my English class we half-acted out scenes and I got to be Macduff and my teacher Macbeth and  long story short we had pool noodles and the drama department’s fake blood.
My favourite thing about the whole ‘no man of woman born’ thing is that it applies to a very broad church.
 For example:
People born via c-section (no man of woman born, meaning natural childbirth, aka, the Shakespeare approach)
Women (no man of woman born, aka, the Tolkein approach)
 Non-binary types (see above)
Aliens (no man of woman born, with the meaning of man being in the ‘mankind’ sense)
Artificial intelligences (see above again)
Transmen (no man of woman born, the man-ness appears to come later as gender is a social construct. Arguably borderline, I know.)
People carried by a man (no man of woman born)
People grown in vats (no man of woman born)
Basically, anyone who isn’t a human cisgendered male delivered via natural childbirth by a woman could kill Macbeth. (Given the equipment via science!, the child of a transwoman born via natural childbirth would still count as unable to.)
It’s odd that you can divide mankind into ‘Macbeth killers’ and everyone else, even though everyone else is in the minority, especially if aliens are real and we create AIs capable of murdering Scottish kings.

Admit it, every musical we hold near and dear would be made 4000% better with Jules in it.

Marlowe is my cosmic mentor of gay proportions- he teaches me the art of drinking to remember and fighting everyone. I learn Latin and start stimulating my brain more. I become his glorified cosmic intern and we prank Desiderius Erasmus in the Humanism department and his intern. Life is good, I get to read and travel in time to do studies and reports. Life is good. I make a friend named Camille in Post-Napoleonic France.

“Shake it off, Shakespeare!”
Said to me by counselor Kieran, wearing a Cthulhu hat, at 2016 camp dance- as Taylor Swift was blasting and my Shakespeare costume was drooping in layers of sweat and cloth.

WELL- Duncan was the incompetent and power crazy king. He opened war on Northumbria and the Orkneys, a bad choice (holding two+ frnts doesn’t usually end well). Macbeth saw victory, fighting against Duncan’s army in 1040- Duncan was killed in the process. Macbeth, without plotting and backstabbing, became king.
HE WAS ALSO GOOD- He is one of the last gaelic kings-fair, and he put forth and enforced Celtic based laws so that women and children, etc.. were defended. Siward and Duncan’s supporters TRIED to dethrone him in the 1040s but failed. Heck, Ol’ Mac Bethad gave daughters the same inheritance as sons.
His policies and openness- which welcomed the Normans leaving England-  were rejected by the English. THE ENGLISH. THE ENGLISH.
Long story short- “Macbeth” was defeated by prissy-ass Malcolm and the English, his allies in Rome literally dropped support, and was defamed by the play Macbeth (WHICH I LOVE A LOT) - 17 years of awesomeness can’t be erased though.
August 14
In 1040, Scottish nobleman Mac Bethad mac Findlaích, better known to you as MacBeth, killed his cousin and rival King Duncan I and succeeded him on the throne.  This would be just another squabble among “nobles” who shit in buckets, but we got a pretty bitchin’ play out of this one.

A show where Greek Gods cope with modern life- but through the eyes of a very “I’m over this shit” Hades and Persephone, who just wants to have a nice flower shop.
