You know, it’s very fortunate that, in Outlander, Claire is WWII nurse and married to a historian who was knowledgeable about English (British? Is there a difference between the two?) history, specifically the 18th century and the Jacobite uprising. Because imagine if she hadn’t? If she had zero history in medicine and no extensive knowledge of the Jacobites or anything that happens during that period. Like… things could have gone very differently if Claire hadn’t been Claire.
