I need help looking for a fic I read once on Ao3. Just wondering if you'd be familiar with it from my veryyy brief memory.

I believe it starts with Hermione having a vision of Bellatrix dying of a curse/heart issue ? They end up researching + hoping to create a cure for Bellatrix. Time is ticking, and I think towards the end the carrows (?) show up and set the house they're in on fire. Bellatrix is injured after saving hermione/that death scene at the start is happening. But I can't quite remember if she actually died or managed to get saved by the potion/cure.

It might be the fic No Good Deed but I think it's been taken down.

Takes place in a slightly AU setting but containing some canon, with characters and their animal forms! Is also unfinished, but an interesting read nonetheless. The author does plan to get back to it eventually.

A slow burn and the relationship between her and Bellatrix develops over several arcs of the story but in the meantime it's a highly creative read.

Slowburn to Happiness by Harrytoad

A detective au where both leads have some issues to work through as they work together. Bellatrix's character lends naturally to the gruff detective type, which is yes please! This story is more grounded in the reality of the human world and was actually based off of a different fandom.

Set in the modern era with Harry Potter canon lore being interwoven into the story in creative ways. This story has a lot of twists and turns and does not end how you would expect it to.

Hermione is a graduate doctoral student who has a one night stand, and then her one night stand shows up to her program, cue chaos and romance! Features a student-teacher relationship but I'm technically counting this one as a doctor au since there aren't that many in the fandom.

Ballet and more ballet! With a smidge of coffee shop and acting au on the side. There is a lot going on in this story for sure, but for some reason it feels like a really good Christmas time story to read. Might just be me but something about all the different aus blended into one gives me that vibe.

Hermione goes to Hollywood! A fun premise and a read that has about 11 chapters and a little less than 100k. A breath of fresh air considering most Bellamione fics are entrenched in the canon world.

god idk if ur still active enough but... there was a fic i read ages ago where at one point, bellatrix and hermione were living in a house on a hill; bellatrix was an animagus (i think???) that could turn into a crow/raven. a vaguely remember a scene where she's flying circles around the house. does this sound familiar to you? desperately been looking for it lol

Lyssandra_Med. They have a wonderful assortment of one-shots and long fics, that both tackle au and less au concepts. They have far too many stories to list them here, but their one shots should be in an aptly named 'one shots' collection on their page.

Childofapollo. At this time they have four bellamione one shots up: miniskirt, i once believed love would be burning red (but it's golden), stabbed wounds, and face your past (and embrace your future).

Ghirs. They have a handful of one shots too, that seem to trend on the heavier side of topics.

Bellamione Recs WIP Edition

It's almost summer, so it's time for a yearly recommendation of Bellamione fics. This time the fics are WIPS because they deserve some love too. So if you like them, leave the authors a kudos or a comment.

Only two chapters as of this post. It's a time travel fic that has Hermione bunking with two roommates that leave the situation rife with potential for all sorts of things. It's in first person but the writing style is good.

This fic takes place after the war and the summary promises Hermione becoming a puddle of gay. Hermione adopts a bird that might not only be a bird and things go from there.

If you are looking for long WIPS works, this is one of them. 76 chapters so far and it has a prequel! Lots of reading to do.

A tattoo parlor x flower shop fic for Bellamione. The first time I've seen one for this fandom. Good for a quick read.

This looks to be a dark AU version in an alternative setting and I am seated. It deals with courtship and that is all I shall say to not spoil the plot. Updates do appear to be a bit slow.

red is the color of sirius’ shirt, narcissa’s lips and regulus’ pocket handkerchief. red represents how they rebelled against their family (sirius ran away and was openly against their morals, narcissa lied to voldemort and basically helped defeating him w her words, regulus turned against voldemort at the last moment, dying for his cause)

narcissa and andromeda are the only ones not wearing black, and they’re the only survivors in this picture.

clothes and accessories:

andromeda is wearing a white dress that resembles a bride’s dress, because she ran away to marry ted. her and sirius’s clothes are also less restricting than regulus and narcissa’s, because unlike their younger siblings they got their freedom.

andromeda, like her cousins, is wearing silver jewelry, aside from a gold ring (her engagement ring), and with her hand she’s covering a family pendant (she chose love over her family). regulus is wearing a pin that looks like salazar’s locket.

poses and such:

andromeda isn’t looking at the camera because she was the first to “look away from her family”, and sirius is looking at her because he would soon follow in her footsteps (andy also has a hand on his shoulder to further represent her influence on him). similarly, bellatrix (who is the only one smiling) is keeping an hand on narcissa so she wouldn’t leave. narcissa has a hand clenched in a fist, covered by her left, (as a way to hide her defiance).

Most Famous Bellamione Fics

This fic list got voted on my poll, so here it is! The fics that the Bellamione nation was built on.

All fics are on Fanfiction.net as it was the OG site for our Bellamione foundations.

Those Gilded Chains we Wear- This fanfic was published around 2012 and basically launched the Bellamione fandom into the stratosphere. The popularity of the ship began to pick up and more long form fics began to be published. It's considered a cornerstone of Bellamione culture and has inspired countless fics no doubt.

Impossible- This fic predates Those Gilded Chains and is very well written as well. It leans a bit more heavily on Hermione and Bellatrix not getting along at the start but still presents growth in their relationship. I feel this fic does not get as much recognition in the community despite it being one of the rare long fics in 2011 for the ship.

The Dark Corners of the Earth and Murder Most Horrid- Both written by the same author, this writer is still present in the Bellamione community today and writing more. The first fic presents eldritch horror in it and the second one is detective story. Both stories are long and include much worldbuilding. They kept the Bellamione community fed for long stretches of time.

Fractures, Fractures The Last Champion, and Turn Time Series,- All written by the same author, the first and second one feature the OG professor Bellatrix and student Hermione relationship that was fully fleshed out. Their back and forth was always a treat a read, as was the competition and the plot around it. The Turn Time series is also a fun read and though it can be confusing at times trying to figure out what is going on with the plot in connection to all three fics, that is part of the appeal.

Our Mercurial Selves- No longer up, RIP.

No Good Deed- No longer up on any site, this story was intense and very well written. There was always a lot of interaction between the characters and the story unfortunately cut off at a really good climax point.

Lotus Flower- A soulmate AU that sadly is not finished. But it had a good amount of tension in it that would made seeing it unfold fun to read.

Metamorphosis- A fic that has similar vibes and shares story beats to Those Gilded Chains in a good way. It is completed. Not as super popular as the other ones but still worth a read because the reveal of Hermione dating Bellatrix is satisfying.

Future Shocks- Very action based and not much Bellamione until the end, but it still packs quite a punch when reading it. A good example of how to write the horrors of war.

Reign Down- I consider this the dark au fic of all dark au fics. The world building is fantastic and reading the story unnerves me which means it's doing a great job with how it's unfolding. It has not been updated in a while but if you're looking for how a dark au should be structured for Bellamione, this is it.

Time Heals All Wounds- This fic utilized Time Travel in a way not seen in Bellamione fics before and popularized time travel fics as a way to help redeem the relationship between the two of them.
