“Sins of a Beast”

Sins of the beast leaves trails of ruin,

Love withers away and splits apart from the seams until I can no longer wear the mask with dignity.  

Scars reopen,  

Tears flood rivers and streams of what’s left of my love for that significant other,

My heart tries to keep afloat and not drown in the awakening of loneliness,  and madness of my own ego, slowly seeping into my consciousness.

Broken souls don’t deserve good things.

Then a faint whisper says, hold strong against this enemy known as me.

I am numb, yet I’m greeting grievance as I fall into the pit of darkness with no light anywhere in sight.

How do I cope with such change to my untimely existence,

Nothing seems secure or everlasting.

The question brings insecurity,

What’s next…?

The sins of the beast known as me,

Will prevail somehow over this curse,

And I will no longer leave trails of ruin.

Dear beast known as me,

I forgive your sins,

So let’s find peace in our existence known as we,

Find love again and live,

So shall it be.
