One thing I love about wincest is the sheer legacy it has left. Ships come and go but only some are remembered forever. Think spirk. Wincest is like spirk--it may not be the most popular ship of all time (though it is certainly popular), or have the most number of fanworks like destiel, rather that it has an enduring appeal, and many historical fandom moments can be traced back to it.

And it's not just legacy either. Every day there are new wincest fans (im one of them, joined a year and a half ago) along with people who have been here since 2005. And it's special because these are people who get OBSESSED. They don't just like wincest as a passing fancy. The fandom now is much smaller than it used to be but it's just as dedicated. It's really something special and I think it will endure.

do you ever think sometimes sam just climbs into dean's lap, straddling him, while dean's doing something else? dean's so evasive and tends to pull back when feelings are too heavy, just dismissive and tough-guying his way out of intimacy - do you think sam learned when he was young that he could pull dean out of that bullshit if he flustered him? one day, sam just got annoyed and straddled into dean's lap when they were teenagers, and dean was like "what the fuck are you doing?? o_o" but then sammy had his full attention, and he took note of that.

then, as their relationship got more entwined, it became something sam does just as casually as running his fingers through his hair. now, dean's reading up on some lore or eating a bag of chips, watching tv, and sam just straddles on top of him and dean briefly acts annoyed and moves his chips out of the way, but then just eats over sam's shoulder and they have whole conversations like that. sometimes dean's like "fuck, you're too heavy for this, get off," but usually they find the right position and sam will just sit there, and they'll talk like it's not a totally insane and unhinged thing to do. like it's as casual as sitting next to each other. after an hour of talking, dean's just like "okay champ, i gotta piss," so sam just shifts off of him, waits for dean to come back, and then they just go about their day.

somehow they're too desperately enmeshed not to see this as normal. it just became too comfortable and too familiar and here they are.

Warning: Rant Ahead

Given that a certain blog received complaints about me, unfounded and rudely written ( illiterate too and no doubt sent from the same I.P. address lol), I feel it's time to clarify: If by reading my posts you cannot tell how much I value Jensen and want him to succeed then I feel sorry for you because you most likely are too infatuated with him to views all of his aspects. A person isn't just perfect and they should never be, we all have things we could work on, myself included. In Jensen's case, stating that he needs to get private training coming from a person who has experience in the field is a truth and it has nothing to do with hating on anyone. Please stop trying to vilify opinions that are technical and even regular ones, people are afraid to express opinions within the fandom out of fear of being bullied and attacked. Is that the legacy you want to create within the fandom? If you dislike ANYTHING on my blog, unfollow me, block me or block the tags you dislike. It's up to you to manage your online experience, I'm no one's slave and my opinions are worthy, not only that, they are the result of years and years of study. So, yes, I express them with confidence. I've never used hate language relating to Jensen (or anyone for that matter) so please stop trying to create drama because you are too immature or lack experience to comprehend what I write and where it's coming from. I feel so blessed to get so many brilliant anons that it baffles me when I see people going around twisting their opinions and turning them into reasons to create drama. The internet doesn't owe you living up to your feelings, no one can manage your feelings but You. So if you can't embrace diversity of thought, feeling and opinion then instead of going around playing "fandom despot" please just stay off the internet or manage your experience like a responsible person. Hating is what you are doing, taking honest opinions and turning them into something evil simply because you want to control everyone. If you did your research, you would learn that no performer can improve without critical feedback. Oh and by the way, there's no actor on the planet that would not die to read things about his/her performance that point to things that could be improved. What is it do you think acting class is for?? That's just one example, look, if you don't know how things work within a certain industry stop twisting opinions of those who do have a clue. That's like a layperson picking on the opinion of someone who spent years and years studying a craft.

Considering only one sided views is the most toxic, dis-empowering thing you could do for a person, creating a 'safe' bubble(or should I call it control?) that ensures they will not be able to reach new heights, self improve or handle upcoming challenges yet you AAs or whatever it is you name yourselves fully believe that any opinion that isn't "Jensen is God" is evil, that's cult like behavior and your fanaticism is extremely dangerous not to mention extremely limiting to Jensen who can never get a real sense of who he is and what his strengths and weaknesses are because all he gets reflected back is a false image built by you on exaggerated perceptions and lust. So, if you are looking for someone to blame for toxicity within the fandom, look in the mirror first.

Since I see a lot of people twisting things just to hate on Jared over his tattoo, here is a link that clears it's history. Just because a symbol is later adopted by different factions who us it for their own benefit doesn't mean people shouldn't look into its authentic origins.

Some of you are so full of rage and hatred that you will pick on anything without awareness of the toxic impact you are creating. Is hating a celeb truly worth starting the fires you are starting? I get disliking/mistrusting a celeb and expressing that but when your whole life becomes about violence over a famous figure and you end up inciting it to the point where said person's life is threatened than you become the issue. Jensen and Jared have forgiven each other yet you continue to attack him for the same things you worship Jensen over. Had roles been reversed, had Jensen tweeted about the prequel, it would have been a non issue. I am curious to see, if Jensen did get the same tattoo, how you all will explain it away instead of rabidly hating on him like you are doing with Jared right now. Somehow, despite Jensen clearly supporting Jared and vice-versa you are all continuing with your hate campaigns, seemingly disconnected from reality and with what finality? Both Actors have their own respective paths and are very successful in their own unique way, they are two very lucky working actors in an industry that is very unpredictable and offers very little security. Not even going to get started on the entitlement of thinking you have a right to dictate what a person can't or cannot tattoo on their body and how dangerous that is. Celebrities may be in the public eye and that always involves deep scrutiny but don't for a second think they owe you their mental, physical or spiritual well-being or that you are in any way entitled to abusing them in whatever form.

Destielphobia is real and it’s totally separate from homophobia.

Like obviously as a bisexual person I’m pro LGBT. It’s literally just anything involving romantic attraction between Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins characters SPECIFICALLY that makes me want to vomit. It has absolutely nothing to do with homophobia because I know I would be totally chill if all of the guys from Supernatural made out with each other indiscriminately except for those two specifically. Like Sam can make out with Mick, Dean, Benny, Castiel, bring it on whatever, gang bang with Gabriel I don’t care. Dean can make out with Benny, Cain, Sam or hell even Ketch if he wants to.

But Castiel and Dean is a nah.

I think that’s a valid phobia bought about by this fandom and it’s actually further cemented by the fact that as an LGBT person you get accused so much of homophobia for not wanting that specific pairing to happen.

I read a Reddit thread about Jared taking steroids in season 3 which lead to him getting roid rage and assaulting a AD on set. Is there any truth to this? The Reddit user claims to have worked on Supernatural during season 5. I’m new to this fandom and know nothing about the show’s early days.

Season 3 when Jared was diagnosed on-set for having clinical depression after he had his first breakdown. He then tried to leave the show before it could by syndicated and costing $millions in lucrative deals for the network, studio, and producers, not to mention cast and crew losing their jobs.  So people were mad at Jared for inconveniently having mental illness and a subsequent breakdown, which could have killed their golden goose.  Hell the same people are mad at Jared for “ending” SPN after 15 seasons because he took CBS holding deal even though technically only WB can end SPN.

*read reddit links*  Whoa it's my buddy Heidi!!!  *waves!!!!* Heidi is a Jensen stan and like most of them, she's obsessed with Jared and subscribes to the AA narrative blaming Jared for why Jensen doesn't have a bigger career according to their expectations.

Heidi is HighD on reddit and SPN_Gossip, where she did her best to turn it into an anti-Jared board, I mean, more than it already was. Heidi was also on tumblr trying to pass herself off as a Bibro but it became too hard for her to keep up the facade.

The last time an Anon updated me on Heidi's antics on reddit was when she crowed that the news of Jensen's role on The Boys getting lots of upvotes means it's more valid than Q scores. The last time I saw her on tumblr she was super pissed at Jared for exposing the prequel debacle and making Jensen look like a noob at best, a backstabber at worst. Do you know what really pisses me off about the SPN prequelgate? The fact that now it's done, Jared can never really not be involved. He cannot choose: he will be forced to always support the project and also to praise it or encourage fans to watch it. He can't do anything else, even if he wants to. This yes, is a dirty trick to him.

Well yeah just like when he supported the cringy Wokeward Sisters, it would be part of his job to put in minimal effort to support and encourage The Winchester.  He gains nothing by not publicly supporting it, but he can be smart about it.  Think back to the hilarious trainwreck YANA campaign headlined by Misha and Jensen - Jared bailed them out helped them by explaining it in 2 minutes that the two clowns Jensen and Misha failed to explain in 2 days.  But Jared did not appear in their video campaigns and instead did his own campaigns that effectively overshadowed YANA until it was forgotten into the ether.
