Reading Worm has taught me one important thing about character analysis, I feel:

There's a difference between characters who are problematic (Amy Dallon/Panacea) and characters who are immoral (Bonesaw).

A problematic character defies a taboo in some way or does something considered questionable. This could be as simple as a character who regularly refers to people by the R-slur instead of something like "Stupid" or "Idiot".

An immoral character violates cultural morality, in such a way that you can often just turn your brain off and accept that An Evil Character is doing An Evil Thing, (though not always). This is usually the way we portray, say, Bank Robbers or Drug Dealers in media.

A fun character can be both problematic and immoral without ruining the story.

Monty Oum certainly had a gift, and it will always be a shame that such a talented and kind person was taken from us so soon, but we have to admit that CRWBY has also managed to give us some great fights over time.
