Hey Guys!

So I wanted to come to you today to discuss about someone I've been peeping! I can lowkey say, If he blows, I knew him when he started. Wanna know who I'm talking about? Its.... Its.. MAFENI aka @mafenimafenimaf. Yes YES YESSSSS... Most of y'all know who that is, or should know who that is by now. He's a young artist out here making a name for himself. I started really listening to his music last year, when I was looking for songs to use on my youtube. I listened to his soundcloud and I was impressed. No, like I was actually impressed. You guys know me, I'm pretty blunt and straightforward about my likes and dislikes, and I have to say, he's someone to look out for. Most times I get the same dm "Can you please listen to my track" and lmaoo sometime I try and sometimes the dm gets deleted. But in this case, I didn't even get a Dm, I saw him simply promoting his music on his twitter and I took an interest. Now, I'm not a music fanatic, or reviewer but his sound is so relaxing, so laid back. His ability to speak with such eloquent rhythm is beyond soothing. I would like to reference him to the likes of (correct me if you disagree) childish gambino, and a bit of a the old chiddy bang vibe. I have a few favs such as "see you soon", "function", "get it right" and the all time classic "Fresh." I wouldn't waste my time writing about this young lad, if I didn't think he had potential. I can't imagine what ideas he'll have for a visual when he branches into that. Anyways I've said my own, maybe I'm chatting bares, but I promise you. This one is going places. Just watch.

My personal struggle with body image Part 1

Hii guys I will be sharing my personal struggles with body image both positive and negative in this post. I've not always felt so good about my body, there are times when I've struggled with my body image and I am not perfect. As a child I was chubby and you know I was called orobo, of course I was little and all that didn't matter to me but as I grew up I was not that chubby child at all. I had really skinny arms and all that, you know what society would call the perfect body and I felt good about myself. I was happy and proud of myself, proud of my body and had a really high self esteem. I didn't care what other people thought. After high school I took a gap year and during that year I added weight and funny enough I didn't even realize it and I still don't understand why. It was until people started saying that I noticed and everywhere I go people say it and that got into my head and then I just slip into this dark abyss of depression. I hated myself, I hated my body, my self esteem dipped. I was unhappy, it was a deep struggle that I did not share with anyone, that I haven't shared with anyone until now. My dressing changed, I started wearing oversized clothing and you know people noticed and asked why and I brushed it off because nobody would really understand. I tried many times unsuccessfully to lose weight and it just made it all harder. I became so unhappy with everything, it was a hard time for me and I had to wake up everyday, pretending I was happy, pretending everything was alright with my world.
