The Haunting of Gillespie House by Darcey Coates is another amazing read of another haunted house. This one is about a family secret that one girl house sitting discovers while she is there, with a good ghost and a bad ghost. So if you are ever house sitting for a strange family that clearly has secrets and start hearing things, do you investigate or get out of there as fast as you can? And like the other two books that I have read from Darcey, I also give this one a 10/10 read for those who like ghost stories.

Listened to another Haunted places podcast about the LaLaurie Mansion. And I must say wow, Madame Delphine LaLaurie was quite the evil person, I can see why her mansion is haunted. Also what she did with Marie Laveau gives me the chills. If you don’t know about that part of the story I can sum it up for you, but readers especially those underaged be advised it is a truly horrible story. Legend has it that these two made a deal with a devil, after awhile they wanted a girl to have a baby boy, soon one did. But this baby boy was different, his skin had a rusty tint, he had tuffs of fur on his body and tiny horns on his head. He was given to Marie Laveau, and she gave him to Madame LaLaurie. After awhile Madame LaLaurie did not want the child anymore because he started screaming way to much and it spread misfortune to everyone. Neither one of them wanted the child any longer so Marie Laveau tried to kill the child with a snake because she didn’t want the blood on her hands, not directly. But this attempt failed, so they went to a cemetery and buried the child alive….. There is no actual proof this happened or that these two women knew each other but it is a legend. Even if it is a legend, just listening to it will give you the chills.

The Haunting of Rookward House by Darcy Coates is an amazing book to read! During the entirety of the book it had me looking over my own shoulder to make sure nothing was there! But at the same time I get paranoid reading books like these lol. If you love ghost, and getting goosebumps this book is for you! I am a new blogger and will be writing future reviews for future books I read! And after reading The Haunting of Rookward House I am reading other ghost books by Darcy Coates and will do reviews on those books as well!

Another book by Darcy Coates that is another good book to read if you like ghost books. But this book has more than ghosts, it also has a zombie witch creature! So if you ever inherited a house from a relative and there are clues and notes to help you survive don’t ignore them! Even if they do sound crazy to you at first.

I watched this Studio Ghibli Film for the first time last night, and I got to say it was amazing! Now I haven’t seen all the Studio Ghibli films but compared to the two I have seen it definitely meets the expectations of the other two! It’s a must watched if you like Studio Ghibli.

Today I listened to the Haunted Places podcast and it was about the Island of the Dolls. This one did freak me out a bit because I do have a doll phobia ever since I saw chuckle when I was five. But this place would be terrifying and cool to see. Probably wouldn’t step foot on the island just pass by and take photos. But if you would like to go and visit it’s and island in one of the canals of Mexico. If you do go good luck and be respectful to the ghost girl that haunts the island!
