Hydrus smiles, showing the few teeth he has. He’s just toeing the line of eleven months, taking his first steps just 3 weeks ago, but no one would assume it by his steady strides and his determination to walk on his own.

Draco sweeps him into his arms, kissing his cheek as he squeals with delight. His father asks, “Ready, my darling boy?”

“Yah! Da, yah! I wim!” Hydrus cheers, clapping his hand like it’s the greatest achievement he’s ever achieved.

Without any of you, this fic would have stayed a one-shot with a short, forgettable plot rather than the story of Hermione, Draco, and Hydrus that we have come to know and love. This was my first official real story in this fandom, and I am so glad that it had taken off like this and so many people loved my storytelling abilities. “Can I get you tea sometime?” Theo asks, grasping her hand that contained the penlight.

She ripped her hand away from him, brows furrowed. “No, that would be inappropriate. It is not proper protocol for that to happen, and I am a professional.”

He sighed, “Fine. Suppose I’ll see you ‘round.”

She offers one last smile, maintaining her bedside manner. “The medi wizard will be in soon.”

Theo’s head falls back into his pillow, blowing out a heavy breath. The plain white walls were going to drive him mad if he did not get out of this bloody place.

Her head peeked around the corner, smirking. “I’m not partial to tea, but I rather enjoy coffee.”

Harry, Ginny, Pansy, and Blaise Zabini-Potter welcomed a little boy this early evening. When asked for a comment, they declined, requesting their privacy to bask in the new world of parenting. The wizarding world still speculates on the gender of this child and how many they will have, or if Pansy Zabini-Potter will, but this investigator will get to the bottom of this.

Draco scoffs at the article, discarding it on the table tray next to him, “Can’t the nosy bint mind her own business?”
