literally NOTHING can compare to found family stories like that trope is the actual physical beating heart in my chest. choosing your family, who you want to love and heal with, who you believe in and viciously defend and trust. forming those bonds on your own is SUCH a lovely, compelling narrative that we should NOT sleep on. thanks.

And that’s awesome omg!! I’ll admit my Disney collections are more plushie and home item focused, but I did have a large vcr collection until it was ruined a few months ago Dx instead of building my collection back up I’ve started to try and collect merch more!!

And yes omg thrift stores and eBay are so good for collecting!! When I had my collection that’s where I got most of mine!! 💗 and yes, the lion king!!!! It’s always been one of my fave franchises!! I think my absolute fave Disney one rn is stuck between Cinderella, Monsters Inc, Lilo & Stitch, & the toy story franchise, but I love it all so much!!! I’m so happy to meet you!!

Hey @bi-wazowski I have Disney as my special interest!!!! If instagram is your kind of thing I post about my collection over there as @ nitro_wolfe and I'm always down to talk about disney stuff. My particular focus is on collecting all the VHS tapes of the official lineup (this excludes direct to video sequels or spinoffs, but I do pick them up anyway when I find them at thrift stores), and lots of lion king merch. My instagram hasn't been updated with pics of my new additions lately because I've been very tired and lazy and need to dust and rearrange things soon anyway. I enjoy finding stuff for my collections at thrift stores rather than seeking out newly released stuff in stores or hu ting on Ebay unless I'm after something specific.

Day 4 of my August Prompts was Stars! For this I did a family-based story! Basically, I always imagined how things would be different if in Lilo & Stitch Nani was too young to be Lilo’s caregiver when their parents died. They are placed in foster care in the story, and their family isn’t very Ohana-like at all, but there is a kind woman in the house who promises them that they will be alright...
