Not out of character for him either. Shoes tarnishing his antique sofa and fingers all over his rare copy of Sinnoh's history. Remarkable. He's this close to giving him an incredible headache, but bemusement and curiosity got the better of his annoyance.

His partner Farigiraf trailed slowly behind using it's psy to keep the rain off them both and boost Lucian's sensory. It chittered with it's pointed teeth and glowing verdant eyes in alert. They were close. Lucian nodded and prepared himself for what might've been there around the corner-

... Ah. A girl? Well it was no extraordinarily rare and powerful Pokemon like he would've guessed but he knows not to let his guard down either. Could be something powerful in plain sight. ..But first a rescue perhaps from this downpour.

" Miss it seems you're in quite an unlucky spot. " Lucian mused a smile. His Pokemon extended it's kinetic field to keep the rain off them both. " And this rain unfortunetly wont stop for another couple of hours. There's a Pokemon Center nearby if you'd allow me to take you there? "

" Thank you, Farigiraf.. " Mumbled between the words he was absorbing, book in hand and his partner placing books away behind him with it's psychic power. It was a considerable stack of literature that he often had trouble dealing with after he was done taking in it's facts. There was the oh so important question of should he tear his eyes away from his book for just a moment to put them away himself? What a stressful decision to make; thankfully his observant Pokemon was helpful in that matter ... depending on the brain the double giraffe was in control that is.

And thankfully the kinder one had nipped at his shoulder gently to tell him someone was trying to get his attention. For someone incredibly adept at telepathy he would've entirely missed her being so engrossed in his novel.

" Yes..! Yes I am. " In an almost embarrassed fumble he shut the book quickly and turned on his heel. Thankfully his sway was much more dignified to make up for it. Lucian's eyes seemed to light up just a bit beneath lilac lenses. " And you are the very talented Unova's Elite Four Shauntal. Correct? "

Interesting..! Though many from all over came to Canalave Library rare was any from the international League. Scheduling and region business he can assume. Lucky however was one known for her artful writing and shared passion for literature coming to visit. He took a polite bow.

" My apologies for not paying mind earlier. You see I was just wrapping up this adventure novel. I'd hate to have missed it's gripping climax. " The book floated from his hand and back on the shelf, Farigiraf snorting he pay attention to something else for once. "But a break is very much needed! Is there anything I or Sinnoh can do for you? "

Every now and again, Shauntal needed to change her own scenery to become properly inspired for her novels. This month, she was spending a bit of time in the Sinnoh Region. To no one's surprise, she would be spending a great deal of her time in the Canalave Library. So many beautiful books that could inspire anyone who had a care for the written word. She had spent a better half of the day looking up reference books about Sinnoh's history and the various lore about the flora and fauna. However, her writing took a little longer than usual as she stole occasional glimpses at a particular Elite that went around the shelves beside her. Shauntal had heard rumors that there was one Elite in Sinnoh who was absolutely dedicated to reading during his free time. She had never been formally introduced to him but she hoped to have the guts to speak out and do so herself. Giving her work one last glance over, she placed a blue tab marker on the tab of the page before carefully closing her book. She took a deep breath and walked over to him as he was placing a small stack of books away. "Excuse me?" her voice rang out softly as she stood a few feet from him, "You wouldn't happen to be Lucian, would you?"
