Is The Pitt as big as Twitter makes it seem

A lot of my friends from Sev have gone to The Pitt. A lot of these same friends were really unhappy about the way Sev ended and are now very much against the show an actively rooting against it. I wouldn't have a problem with this if I thought The Pitt was good. I really don't like too many TV shows, so I definitely don't go for a show that feels like old-school TV, and no I don't find the real-time aspect compelling just because I really don't like the acting. All that being said, is The Pitt big here and can any one share an example of good acting in the show.
