It takes a long time for a relationship to form with him. When you first spent time with him it was likely as just friends, and the idea of a relationship with you was far from his mind. So if you crushed on him from first site, you're going to have been pining for years probably

He's a shy romantic once you do get with him though. He'll leave flowers at your nightstand or take you for walks in the moonlight with no real reason, but will get defensive if you ask him if there's any occasion.
