Needles of poison

A lion tattooed on my chest

People stared in awe

I was better than all the rest

Not a spec,not a flaw

Until one day things changed

A person with a lion identical to mine

Though this mirror was cleaner

I wouldn’t lose my shine

Yeah so that was a lie

His lion’s better than me

His mirror is bigger and brighter

His reflection is what I want to see

I put a skull on my cheek

To give my lion a bigger mane

Though I gained some former glory

It’s not quite the same

People cower in fear

Even when I try to be kind

Now it’s hard to choose how to act

It’s hard to have peace of mind

So many mirrors everywhere

Bigger,better shapes, and clean

So many mirrors I want

So many mirrors I need

Tattoos over tattoos cover my body

Rebuilt my mirror so many different times

Cause I feel like no one will love me

Especially with no self love in my mind

I cover myself in more tattoos

Needles cover up my pain

Now I don’t know who is in the mirror

Awareness can feel like a burden, a bitter pill. But there are a bunch of flocks who are begging to experience truth, to see the truth, yet they can't. No matter how much they try, they can't see how they are making their loved ones unhappy and even miserable. Be grateful you can see your flaw. Nothing is more harmful than kindness without empathy and awareness.

The things about abuse and trauma are how sometimes you feel nothing, no emotions. in disfunctional family it gets on innocent siblings, they did nothing, but your empathy get low and kindness, you cannot love them as you may have wanted.

Another aspect is the guilt of choosing yourself in family dynamics to bare the title of so-called villain in their eyes. The bitter truth is they will never understand. Even if they love you, they can't understand your heart.

Bitter potion. I'm lover by Nature. I love love. I'm motherly. I nurture. But I also know I will not get the love I dream. Even if I get it. I will receive the love when I no longer want it, I won't be happy too. I will simply accept it. Will respect it. But won't have desire anymore.
