Polar Night

hi! so sorry for just getting around to this now, life's been selfish in stealing my time haha. but anyways, i loved Your Monster!! it felt new and refreshing and brought some things to the table that i hadn't seen in a long time that i didn't know i needed, as weird as that sounds lol.

i can't say i actually expected anything, plot-wise, but i definitely didn't expect the way it made me feel. i didn't expect the story and emotions to be so deep and dark, which i love, but didn't expect from this movie. i'm in love with Laura and Monster's relationship for sure. they're like a puppy-couple - like they've both still have some "childish" qualities, mostly due to the situation of course, i'm not saying these characters are immature, but it was nice to see Melissa Barrera play a character with that kind of visual duality, especially after her recent characters, like Sam and Joey. idk maybe that's just me.

off the top of my head, i don't have a favorite scene. i think i found something in many of the scenes that have me hooked or thinking about it often, in a non-weird way of course haha.
