Week 1 of Morph Pride!
My idea was a sort of Gala outfit inspired by a couple of their dresses in Exiles with elements of their hero suit

Two more drawings for The Calendar fanfic by @some-dull-scissors
(the second is below the cut; tw for slight goo gore)
Morph’s relationship with their dad is a part of lore I find interesting so I loved reading this part of the fic and seeing them back home. This porch scene when they’re talking to Veronica is so sweet, I needed to draw it.
No more wholesome. Now violence.

The dichotomy of these two drawings is so funny to me. Wholesome family bonding vs brains spilling out. The duality of artists I suppose.

Some more art for The Calendar by @some-dull-scissors
This was unnecessarily difficult to draw but I think it turned out well in the end

Fan art for The Calendar by @some-dull-scissors on ao3. This fic is genuinely so good. I will ramble below the cut.
I often think about what it must be like for Jubilee as a teenager living in the X-Mansion. She should’ve been around 13 when she joined the X-men (since she turned 18 in ‘97) so she spent all her teenage years there. Her main friend group is a bunch of 30+ year olds and I doubt she hangs out with many people her own age since she lives and attends school at the mansion and is busy with missions. I don’t imagine she gets out much, especially since people know who she is and that she’s a mutant it wouldn’t be safe to. (You could assume that the school has other students her own age attending, but that’s not actually shown in the cartoon so…) So, I like to imagine that Jubilee would often try to convince the other X-men to do more teenage stuff with her (ie go to the mall, have sleepovers, go to the arcade like in that mojo episode, etc) and I think Morph would be down to do that kind of thing. Of course I think other characters like Rogue or Storm would like to spend time with her like that too but it feels kinda going-to-the-mall-with-your-mom to me. Since Morph was a newer member at the beginning of TAS, I imagine they’re a bit younger, and also since they weren’t present for a lot of Jubilee’s beginner years, it places them at a similar social level (if that makes sense?). Like they wouldn’t have the same teacher/mentor/parental figure role you might interpret with the other X-men but rather be the cool older friend. (That’s my interpretation anyway)
ANYWAYS I think about this a lot lol, so I was really excited reading this chapter. I love seeing them interact and bond and get to be wholesome while they paint their nails and bake muffins. It fills my metaphorical soul with joy. I need them to be besties in the show. I know Morph is supposed to be best friends with Wolvie but they can have more than one!
I’m still pretty behind on The Calendar but it’s so good and I can’t wait to keep reading it 💜

Drawing the nonbinary x man in dresses to cleanse my soul. I like them a normal amount (I love them so much). References included below
It’s that one black dress that was popular a while back, the Marilyn Monroe dress which Morph references in Exiles, and two of their other dresses in Exiles.
