Things I could've said, continued:

Storytime! So once I went over to my friend Alethea's house. She's pretty awesome, we've only ever had positive interactions. Her housemates had several people over, and we bumped into a couple of them having a conversation on our way inside. Alethea said hello, I said hey, and we were going to just walk past them I thought, and then I don't know who started the conversation but someone did. We stood on the front porch altogether and I think it mostly happened because Alethea didn't like her housemates and maybe didn't want to encounter them. Anyhow, the subject of astrology came up. I think we has a Capricorn, a Sagittarius, a Virgo, and then Alethea and me. I forget Alethea's sign sadly, but I'm a Gemini. And I certainly don't always act like a generic friggin Gemini; in fact, I tend to act more in my mars, mercury, and moon (Libra, Cancer, and Leo).

The Virgo redheaded, green-eyed, seductive little fool scrutinized me curiously after asking my zodiac, before saying, "That's funny, you don't act like a Gemini. You're so quiet "

All I responded with was "Eh, that's me."

The truth is I have many reasons to be naturally quiet, and I keep finding more! I like to listen, I like to think before I speak, I think people generally appreciate not being interrupted, I tend to give off a more mysterious vibe sometimes simply by keeping my mouth shut, information is power and I'm entitled to as much as I can listen to, knowledge can grant me wisdom and i can't gain either of those things by speaking over other people, and the list goes on.

I guess you could say the generic things someone expects from a Gemini, especially a sun sign, is an extrovert: someone who enjoys and receives energy from spending time with others. The expected Gemini is also a big talker, a bit detached from emotion, insensitive, drops relations like clouds drop rain, has a finger in every pie, whilst retaining the air headed tornado on the wind. The truth is I'm none of those things: I'm quiet until I have something to say and then I have a few long sentences, I am so very passionate/intimate that anyone who knows me knows I will not rest until everyone I hold close knows I'm feeling this way (I also the person that either sends a funny cat video to at least 7 people or laugh until I can't breathe and save it so I can show it to someone who needs a laugh,,,, actually I have a whole folder of things just for that scenario.), I don't make friends easily so when I do I hold onto them like the best sandwich (so full of lovely things, I won't let go of any of it, I'll always remember the good times we have yo,) I so definitely do not have a finger in every pie (so yes I like to learn, although I do not appreciate expending pointless energy on work that will not progress my understanding. I would always procrastinate on my homework in school. Hence, I like mechanical things things and how they Cc, but I'm not a mechanic.) Okay so the whole tornado on the wind thing, my mom is a Gemini too, and we have always been more attached to people than places. I moved around around a lot as a kid, and I still do because I love the road, the change, and I know my family is just an email away.

I could've told that Virgo all these things but I didn't. I didn't see the point in telling someone about myself when they probably don't care. I still don't talk about myself in conversation often because it usually doesn't matter. But I could've made a point that there's quite a few people who do not fall under the common label or stereotype that other people assume they should be. And I guess that's why I made this post,and why so much about something that doesn't particularly matter: my identity. Me. And I'm not saying that from a negative point of view, I'm simply saying that I could be anybody and nobody would be more or less amazed or disappointed in me and whether they would be or not isn't important, because in another universe I'm someone else. And here I'm like this.
