How to increase fetal weight in the 8th month?

Pregnancy is the most beautiful phase in a woman’s life. It is a transformation that fills the heart and soul of a woman with ultimate joy. While many women look forward to having a healthy pregnancy, there can be times when small concerns relating to the unborn child can become quite overwhelming.
One such concern is the fetal weight. If your gynecologist in Gurgaon tells you that your baby’s weight is not increasing as it should, you may initially get too worried. However, the fact is that you can easily modify your diet to make some healthy changes in order to increase fetal weight.
What foods help babies grow in the womb in the 8th month?
If fetal weight gain is a concern, you don’t have to really worry about and start eating for two people but make some healthy modifications to your diet. Protein

For all expectant mothers, a gynecologist in Gurgaon will suggest a daily intake of 90 to 100 grams of lean protein. Protein is a very essential nutrient that is needed for a baby’s overall development. In the last few weeks of the pregnancy, a growing fetus will require an appropriate amount of protein to develop the brain. The healthy foods that can contribute to protein content in the diet are almonds, lean poultry, lean beef, low mercury fish and dairy products such as cheese and yogurt. Including at least one source of protein in each meal is a good idea to promote fetal growth.
Carbohydrates

Not all types of carbohydrates are good as they may cause pregnant women to gain unnecessary weight and provide little or no nutrition to the growing fetus. Nutrition experts recommend replacing salads with calorie-rich foods like legumes, cereals, and dry fruits, especially dried apricots. Some vegetables such as corn and peas are good in moderation as well. Five to six servings of vegetables and about eight servings of healthy grains is a good intake of carbohydrates.
Healthy fats

Foods that are high in saturated fats are not recommended during pregnancy. Healthy fats like olive oil, avocados and nut butter are beneficial for both the mother and the growing fetus. Two to three servings of healthy fats daily are recommended to help your baby grow better.
Sugars

Fresh fruits are a wonderful way to consume sugars during pregnancy. Avoiding desserts is important as artificial sweeteners add unnecessary calories. Two to three servings of healthy sugars per day will help the mother and baby grow adequately.
While these are some tips to increase fetal weight in the eighth month, you should still consult your gynecologist and come up with a customized diet plan for yourself.
