Decided to have a fancy supper tonight.
By fancy, I do mean that I put my sandwich on the panini press, mixed two slices of provolone cheese into my boxed macaroni, and put my chocolate milk in an Oktoberfest glass instead of a normal cup.

What the FUCK possesses people to prey on vulnerable people?  My grandmother got a call from people pretending to be the IRS saying they would arrest her if she didn’t give them thousands of dollars and send a fucking hit man if she called the police.  Seriously, I am so. fucking. mad.

The people who ask me for advice are primarily my friends C and K.  I usually say that either I have no idea or that xxx is what I think is most likely but xxx is the worst possibility I can think of with the disclaimer that I don’t know what I’m talking about.  Then I tell them I can ask my mom what she thinks and that they should go to see their PCPs.  Fortunately, they’re my friends, and I know their PCPs, so it’s way easier to tell them to go there for real advice.
Fellow medical people, how do you handle friends asking you for medical advice? I don’t want people to think I’m being rude/unhelpful by just saying “don’t ask me, ask your doctor”. But at the same time I am fully aware that I am not able to accurately diagnose people or do anything about someone’s medical issues, when a) I’m not a fricking doctor & b) I don’t know all of their medical history yada yada.
I’ve had to deal with this for the last 6 years, because of my job triaging for 111 & 999, but now I’m a medical student as well it’s getting more frequent, and I feel like I need to just shut this shit down now.
Any advice would be appreciated :)

I’m cringing so hard at this.  “Every father”  my ass.  IDK what’s wrong with you people for attacking dads and also people who like their dads, but I’m with @spoekelse872 - shut it.
why does every father have the emotional intelligence of a flea
