Still not writing this (REALLY) but here is a cast list for a Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul vampire AU, What We Do in the Shadows style

The familiars:

IGNACIO “NACHO” VARGA – Started his career as a familiar to Tuco Salamanca, ended up being the familiar to the whole damn family. Has realized they will never make him a vampire, so now he spends his time secretly trying to kill them and never quite succeeding. He is also the secret familiar to Fring.

MICHAEL “MIKE” EHRMANTRAUT -  Former vampire slayer, now the familiar of Fring. Is full of justifications about why Fring is Not Like the Other Vampires because he’s definitely going to help Mike kill the other vampires, “when the time is right” (the time is never right).

JESSE PINKMAN – familiar to Walter White. Insists he is not a familiar because they are FULL PARTNERS. All they do is scream at each other. Jesse tearfully runs away once a week, but he always comes back, and he and Mr White sob in each other’s embrace until the next fight. The other familiars and vampires think this is super fucking weird. Jesse is terrible at body disposal – has to call Mike and Nacho to help him all the time.

JIMMY MCGILL – lawyer specializing in undead law – things like helping vampires set up mortal identities so they periodically “die” and leave all their money to their “next of kin,” which is themselves, etc. Does some freelance familiar work on the side. Would like to become a vampire except he faints at the sight of blood.

KIM WEXLER – former familiar to Howard, now practicing undead law. No longer has an interest in becoming a vampire. Just really wants to kill Howard.

Vampires:

TUCO SALAMANCA – a virtually indestructible vampire. After many attempts to kill him, Nacho and Mike just nailed his coffin shut and walled him up in the Salamanca family crypt. He’s going to bust out of there one of these days. Has no clue that Nacho is the one who nailed him in the coffin

HECTOR SALAMANCA – a decrepit vampire who communicates via Oujia board. Is in horrible shape because of Nacho’s various assassination attempts, like throwing crosses in his coffin, feeding him victims that have just had garlic-heavy dinners, giving him jewelry made of pure silver, etc. Has zero clue Nacho is behind any of this.

MARCO AND LEONEL SALAMANCA – terrifying silent monsters who do nothing but kill. Nacho likes them the best because they don’t bug him all the time, even if the clean-up from their feeding sessions is a total nightmare. They would probably make Nacho a vampire if he asked, but Nacho is worried they’d accidentally tear him to shreds

LALO SALAMANCA – a flamboyant and unusually intelligent vampire. Knows what Nacho is up to but plays dumb because he likes having Nacho around. Teases Nacho a lot about making him a vampire and then doesn’t follow through. Enjoys making Nacho set things on fire. Is constantly on the search for his blue moccasins because Nacho keeps hiding them.

GUSTAVO FRING – a vampire who thirsts for vengeance as much as blood. Hector Salamanca killed his mortal lover, Max, and he has vowed revenge. Has elaborate plans to kill the Salamancas but is obsessed with making sure his revenge is perfect, so he never gets around to it. Nacho begs to be allowed to stake Lalo at least, but Fring always puts him off. He likes to drink blood by cutting his victim’s throat with a box cutter and slurping it like a water fountain

WALTER WHITE – became a vampire by synthesizing vampire blood in a lab. All the other vampires hate his fucking guts. Hilariously is still trying to live with his mortal family and constantly explains away his obvious vampiric traits.

HOWARD HAMLIN – old school aristocratic vampire. Views himself as a “good” vampire because he drinks blood from blood banks, and is very smug about it.

MORTALS:

GALE BOETTICHER – actually the reincarnation of Max, who has been murdered by Fring’s enemies throughout history. Keeps waiting for Fring to notice, but he never does. Has a suspicion that Fring deliberately puts him in harm’s way every lifetime because he loves revenge so much and needs an excuse.

SKYLER WHITE – does not approve of this vampire business but wants to keep up appearances. Lots of eye rolls to the camera when Walter makes excuses for his vampire shit

HANK SCHRADER – vampire hunter. Always thisclose to figuring it out, but the familiars manage to throw him off the scent. Hilariously, he does buy all of Walter’s bullshit explanations

seeing fanart of breaking bad characters hanging out is funny and i love it but it’s also insane in retrospect because i can’t think of any piece of media where every character hates each other so fucking much. like nobody in that show likes each other at all
