I know my ex looks at my blog and has for years. Sometimes she'll make a vent/feelings blog using an old name I had back when we were in high school and dating. She got married but I know we both still have some form of feelings for each other. I don't do anything because I don't want to ruin anything for her with her relationship by complicating it or anything like that. It feels like a part of me is always stuck with her now. I haven't really been with anybody since and it feels really bad.

I’ve genuinely been thinking about you for days. The only solace I can give you I think is that everyone that has ever been important to us has imparted a part of them into our way of being. You will never be who you were before her. But likewise she’ll never be the same either. I feel like people always mourn this fact but in my opinion it’s a comfort. You loved someone so much that they helped make who you are. You helped make them who they are. Baring anything abusive or traumatic having loved and having someone be a part of you is quite lovely. All of this doesn’t mean you can’t continue to live your life. Having loved and having loss is life. Growing older and missing someone is a part of life. Life isn’t without pain and isn’t without loss.

She moved on and got married and you have every right to do the same. Give yourself the chance to love again. If your ex ever really loved you she would love you enough to want you to be happy. You should want to be happy for you too.
