It’s actually signed “L & D Dillon” — like most of the work by this incredible husband-and-wife pair. More details in this blog post on the Mubi web site.

Parodic sketch of Brünnhilde's slumber at the end of Wagner's Die Walküre, first published in the satirical pamphlet Schultze und Müller im Ring des Nibelungen by Alexander Moszkowski (Berlin: A. Hoffman, 1881?). Artist unknown, possibly Moszkowski himself but I don't think so.

Sluggo floating in midair and saying "no," from the Nancy comic strip by Ernie Bushmiller, 17 or 27 April 1953.

what annoys me about explaining evolution to people who don’t think it’s real is that everyone’s idea of how it works seems to be from this

Whereas the reality is far more like

In Pride month, I think it's important to remind you of this iconic dialogue. You don't have to talk about who you are if you don't want to❤️

I’m struck by the way this era’s artists conceived of an entire room (or even an entire building) as a combined artistic statement.
1902 is the same year that the Vienna Secession presented a tribute to Beethoven, centered on Max Klinger’s statue of the composer along with wall paintings and decorations by Gustav Klimt, Alfred Roller, Adolf Böhm, Ferdinand Andri, etc.
