Танці для мене — це більше, ніж рух. Це внутрішня свобода, яку важко здобути й неможливо підробити. Коли ти відпускаєш усі свої комплекси, страх ви��лядати дивно, і просто дозволяєш собі бути.

На цьому зображенні — геометрія руху, ритм ліній, що оживають у парі. Це не про техніку. Це про зв’язок. З собою, з партнером, з музикою.

Але, на жаль, я сам поки ще не переміг це в собі. Не можу дозволити собі таку просту, але справжню радість. Можливо, ще не час. Але я вірю, що для всього є свій момент. І він настане.

For me, dance is more than just movement. It’s an inner freedom that’s hard to achieve and impossible to fake. It’s the moment when you let go of all your insecurities, your fear of looking odd, and simply allow yourself to be.

In this image — the geometry of movement, the rhythm of lines coming alive in a pair. It’s not about technique. It’s about connection. With yourself, with your partner, with the music.

But sadly, I haven’t quite overcome this in myself yet. I still can’t allow myself that simple, genuine joy. Perhaps it’s not the right time. But I believe that everything happens when it’s meant to. And that moment will come.

«Game Balance»

Скоро розпочнеться битва за шахову корону. Я і сам люблю шахи, хоча майстром себе не вважаю. Проте звання "любителя шахів" для мене дорожче за будь-які спортивні титули, бо саме воно дарує справжнє задоволення від гри. Нажаль, вже давно не мав нагоди зіграти в живі шахи з кимось особисто.

У своїй новій роботі я спробував відобразити образ моєї подруги, її силу і загадковість. На зображенні вона здається зануреною у гру, але не у фізичну партію, а в щось набагато глибше — у внутрішній світ роздумів, стратегій і спокою. Ми так і не змогли зіграти в шахи, коли бачилися недавно, але я сподіваюся, що ми це виправимо найближчим часом.

The battle for the chess crown is about to begin. I’m quite fond of chess myself, though I wouldn’t call myself a master. In fact, the title of a “chess enthusiast” feels far more rewarding than any professional accolade, as it brings the purest joy of the game. Sadly, it’s been quite a while since I last had the chance to play a live chess match with someone face-to-face.

In my latest work, I tried to capture the essence of my friend—her strength and enigma. Here, she seems deeply immersed, not in a physical game, but in something much deeper: a realm of thoughts, strategies, and calm. We missed the chance to play chess during our recent meeting, but I hope we can fix that soon.

«Танець між рогами» Корида — це не лише боротьба, а й мистецтво контролю та виклику. Матадор і бик танцюють на межі, де кожен крок стає викликом, а кожен рух — провокацією.

Я використовував цю роботу, щоб пояснити студентам, як лінія та пляма взаємодіють у композиції. Лінія, переходячи з форми у форму, додає сенсу абстрактним елементам, залучаючи нашу уяву та перетворюючи їх на щось зрозуміле й цілісне.

«Dance between the horns» Bullfighting is not just about conflict; it is the art of control and challenge. The matador and the bull dance on the edge, where every step is a dare, and every movement — a provocation.

I used this piece to explain to my students how lines and shapes work together in composition. A line, shifting from one form to another, imbues abstract elements with meaning, engaging our imagination and transforming them into something coherent and complete.

«Нічна зміна» Є щось у нічній роботі, що приваблює найнесподіваніші думки. З кожною годиною вони підкрадаються — жарти, які смішні тільки мені, саркастичні зауваження про мій прогрес або іронія щодо того, що сиджу тут, доробляючи те, що міг закінчити ще вдень.

There's something about working at night that invites the strangest thoughts. As the hours slip by, they creep in—jokes only I’d find funny, sarcastic quips about the state of my work, or little ironies about staying up just to finish what I could’ve done hours ago.

Night work is like a conversation with myself, where half the comments are inside jokes I don’t even fully understand.

Line sketches have always come naturally to me. I feel a deep connection to the fluidity of the line, its language, and its simplicity. So, I decided to bring one of my line sketches into the digital realm, adding both colour and depth. It’s fascinating because these qualities are still something I’m working on developing in myself. As for the scene itself? I simply drew what I enjoy — a quiet moment beneath a tree, a book in hand, immersed in the calming process of reading. I hope it conveys a sense of peace and introspection.

The Chernobyl disaster didn’t just change the world, it permanently etched into our collective consciousness the importance of safety and respect for the power of nature. Let this symbol serve as a warning and a lesson to us all, a call to action to prevent future catastrophes and to preserve history for generations to come. We remember, we learn, we act.
