How is it that I every time I leave for a bit, suddenly all my writing starts circulating again? Like I got 40 new followers in the last week and a half (hi to all of you, welcome to the shit show).

I haven't even been writing for this blog. I probably should but I get anxious at the expectations people expect from me now.

TBH I’m not even sure how this post is getting traction again XD. I never wrote an update because I’m trash who keeps things open-ended. 

How would each brother react to a drunken kiss? Like someone crushing on them and they have no idea and booze just made the crush smooch her favorite turtle.

Okay, lets talk about this shit right here. Cuz its cute but potentially problematic. 

One, I have extreme second-hand embarrassment for the crush for the morning after when they are sober and realize what they did. Major oh noes. 

Two, I feel like each of the turtles would be able to taste the alcohol on their lips and realize that they are, in fact, ‘white girl wasted’ so the likelihood of them allowing it to continue beyond a kiss is a big hell no. They’ve saved enough people, men and women, from potential sexual assault to ever consider it. 

Three, I’m gonna write this as the crush being returned. You didn’t specify if it was or not so for me, it is.

Okay so Leo. Poor Leo. His perfect calm persona is freakin shattered. Broken every which way all over the floor and capable of slicing open your feet. He wasn’t expecting it. He never thought in a million years that he’d ever have your lips on his. You, his beacon of light and love and everything good in the world. You, whom he resigned to watching from afar. 

Once the shock kind of fades and he realizes that a) the kiss is a little sloppy and b) you taste and smell of alcohol, he will push you back, a little disappointed. 

Gently though, enough to remove you from his face space, but not far enough that you would take it as a rejection even in your drunken state. Cuz he isn’t rejecting you. He’s just rejecting the notion of taking advantage of you.

He knows he is going to talk to you in the morning. And he really hopes this is an indication that there will be sober kisses.

Raph. Sweet bby Raph is gonna turn so red. He tenses because what? He doesn’t know how to respond. Its not like he has experienced a whole lot of kisses before. And its you. His human. His fragile little person whom the whole world revolves around. 

To be honest, he gets so hopeful in the span of a second because really? You kissed him. And then it gets shattered when the smell of alcohol floods his nostrils because of course, you’re drunk. You’d have to be to kiss him, his angsty lil butt tells himself. He’ll push you away and probably stand on the outskirts of the social scene, watching you but not interacting. 

He doesn’t want to even think about whats going to happen the following morning, when you are sober. He is torn. On one hand, he wants to know if it was a fluke so he can go be heartbroken by himself. On the other, he needs to know if there is something more. 

Donnie may just have a heart attack. You kissed him. You actually kissed him. You put your mouth on him. He felt your lips, lips hes fantasized about ON. HIS. SKIN. HOLY CRAP ON A FUCKING CRACKER LORD GEEZUS TAKE THE WHEEL DONNIE’S SOUL HAS LEFT HIS BODY. He freezes, his mind going blank for a second before hitting the overdrive button.

He catalogs it because who knows if this will happen again before he gently nudges you away. He knows that the reason you kissed him lay in your intoxicated state so he makes no further motions to engage you in anything romantic or sexual. He could never. You were worth more than that. 

His actions the following morning are dictated by whether you remember the kiss or not. If you don’t, he will try and jog your memory with subtle clues. If you do, he is going to bring it up in any way he can as casually as he can. He desperately needs answers. Do you actually like him? or don’t you? 

Mikey actually gets a little sad because he didn’t want your guy’s first kiss to be a drunken, sloppy one. He didn’t want to be like one of those gross guys who take advantage of drunk girls, even if you are the one who kissed him. He had a whole thing planned. He was going to finally tell you his feelings, tell you all the things he has ever thought about you, from how much he likes your toe nail polish to how he admires the fact you are so open to life. 

However, Mikey is not one to stay negative. He is gonna use this drunk kiss as a way to psyche himself up. He may push you away but the tingle on his lips is going to remain and it is going to fuel his efforts in romancing you. Drunkenness is an odd form of honesty so maybe his feelings are returned.

A/N: Bruh, you want me to write about my own character? I have never been more flattered in my life that out of every character on the internet, you picked mine to request. I haven’t been on tumblr in a bit and this made my goddamn day.

D-reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

Dux had no preference in the beginning. Where he and Y/N end up is where they end up. As long as their ending is together, their journey to that end does not matter to him.

After the injury, he began to think more on it. Now, he has visions of a permanent home in the underground where they act as a hub of information for government take-downs, take in disenfranchised kids and teenagers, provide medicine to the poor, and fuck often and everywhere without having to be quiet about it.

I - nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

Hell yeah they did. Dux’s race is one that almost no one in the galaxy knows about because they are some of the scariest and strongest race ever encountered and they are hostile. They do not allow outsiders to even step foot on their planet because the last time a colonizer did, said colonizer took note of their skin and their eyes and decided ‘I’m gonna kill one and sell their hides for money.” Colonizer was immediately shredded on a galatic broadcast as a warning. Suffice to say, they trust no one.

As a result, they rarely ever leave their planet for anything other than a galactic nuclear war. They are raised to protect themselves, their people, and their secrets. Dux - being a rebel right outta the womb - left his planet as soon as he got his license and went off exploring because his people know almost nothing about other cultures because of how closed off they are. He literally left his planet to go learn things. Think big ole nerd on a motorcycle.

That said, he was still very much closed off when it came to interacting with people. He also struggled to understand why people did things just ‘for the fun of it.’ He learned things but he never interacted and he was always disguised so he wouldn’t be hunted. He isn’t dumb.

Now, when Y/N came into the picture, he immediately identified them as a human - one of the weakest races in the galaxy - and got the biggest shock of his life when this squishy, tiny* human had the balls to rob a police station just to prove they could.

*Note: most species are tiny compared to Dux so Y/N could be 6′5 and still be tiny to him. The average male on his planet is like 7′2. The females are often bigger at like 8′0.

He stuck around with them after that, just to see where Y/N took him. If anything, he wanted to see if he could have fun.  As a result, and much to his chagrin, he started becoming more open and friendly to others. He is hesitant to share his knowledge of his people but he is more than happy to share things about himself now.

J-ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

You’d think he would be, given all the trust issues he was ingrained with, but he really isn’t and it has to do with the fact that he is confident of who he is and where he stands with Y/N in their lives and relationship. He and his Y/N argue and disagree - especially since they became literal outlaws together for the greater good - but they are really good at compromise and communication. They don’t yell or scream. They take walks to calm down when they are too in their feelings to deal with something. All that good stuff.

That in mind, Dux knows that he isn’t the only one who exclusively things his lover is attractive. (And yes, he had to sit in the bath for hours when he realized he had an attraction to someone of a different species because one, that has never happened before - to him or to anyone on his planet, two - he would be disgraced if they found out, three - he realized it while getting shot at by space pirates and it was inconvenient). Dux knows that others are going to flirt, drop innuendo, all that stuff to his Y/N.

He doesn’t like it but he can’t stop it.

So he takes his cues from his lover. If they find it harmless, he does too. If they are uncomfortable, he’s on standby. If someone doesn’t take no for an answer, he drops them to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

At the end of the day, he trusts his Y/N. He has no reason to be jealous when he gets Y/N.

O - n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

Dux in love is like normal Dux but with pet names and kissing added. Being in love doesn’t really change the relationship all that much tbh. When he and Y/N were only friends and partners, he respected them, found them to be a good balance for him (where he was weak, they were strong and vice versa). He shared a bed with them because sometimes money was tight. He ate with them. He had fun with them. He had their back in a fight (even when Y/N was just starting some shit to start some shit)

Now that they are together, he does all of that but drops using their name altogether and calls them various pet names in his native language. He’ll lean over and kiss them at random times in random places to show a bit of affection. He likes handholding when possible. They have sex.

Its probably the smoothest transition anyone has ever seen and it not obvious at all to those outside of the vigilante underworld. All their contacts spotted what was up right away.

V alue - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?

The annoying little human that he shares his life and bed with is the only thing he will not let go of. He has always been pretty chill and adaptable - leaving his home was no issue, not having material goods is not an issue, he is quick to identify and resolve his moods, etc. He is a master of letting go.

But not with Y/N.

He has followed their lead the entire way into being a wanted criminal and he is pretty neutral about the whole thing. Yeah, stopping evil forces and pissing off the government is fun and all but if he had to choose between blowing up an planet and saving Y/N’s life, hands down he is picking Y/N and he will not feel bad for it.

Y/N may be angry at him for it but he’s fine with it because Y/N is alive to be angry in the first place. He does not believe in sacrificing for the greater good - a reflection of his upbringing - and will pick Y/N over any other person, possession, or planet.

X-OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

Dux is affectionate and enjoys kissing and cuddling and all that stuff when its appropriate. Casual settings with friends - absolutely. Alone in their room for the night - duh. On dates - you cannot stop him.

In the middle of a heist - no. When meeting up with a contact for a job - you may hold his hand. In a firefight - don’t be an idiot.

Z-eal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?

As mentioned, he would blow up a planet to save his lover’s life. In the actual story, he went and hunted down actual strangers - putting himself in danger because who knows how hostile they were going to be to him - just to get Y/N some help. He did not sleep for two weeks so he could watch and make sure they were protected and that the people wouldn’t try and kill them while they were weak. After Y/N woke up, he took care of their physical therapy. When he was told Y/N probably wouldn’t ever be able to continue on doing vigilante stuff due to the permanence of their injury, his immediate reaction was to find a new place for you both to go to. He wasn’t going to abandon them, he was going to craft a new place for them to be together.

He would rearrange the universe to accommodate his lover.

Hi, I just wanted to share some of my thoughts if that's OK with you, because you may have heard something like this before, but your recent posts kind of worried me so I thought you might need it. I believe that every person deserves happiness and good things to happen to them. I see it kind of like this "good thing happens -> someone feels better -> that person's happiness is shared to other people thorough their overall attitude/actions -> more good things happen". But the same goes for the bad things. By all that I mean that you really don't have to punish yourself for every single "mistake". You're a person just like anyone else and therefore you make mistakes. But that doesn't mean that you don't deserve to be happy and to forgive yourself, it's the opposite actually. I think I’m giving up dating and love. Not sure if its forever but it feels like it.

Honoring the lives lost in the Atlanta shooting

Xiaojie 'Emily' Tan, 49

Tan, 49, was the mother of Jami Webb, a recent graduate from the University of Georgia. She was a licensed massage therapist and the owner of Young’s Asian Massage, along with other businesses in the area, including another spa and a tanning salon, according to state records. She was “the sweetest, most kind-hearted, giving, never-met-a-stranger person,” a friend told Atlanta’s WSB-TV. Just one day away from her 50th birthday when she was killed, according to USA Today, Tan was described by her daughter as thoughtful, devoted to her family, and looking forward to traveling in her retirement.

Hyun Jung Grant, 51

Hyun Jung Grant was a Korean immigrant who worked at Atlanta’s Gold Spa. Her son Randy Park, 23, shared a tribute to his mother on GoFundMe: He said his mother was a single parent who “dedicated her whole life to providing for my brother and I.” She loved dancing and sushi, according to Park, who told The Daily Beast, “She wasn’t just my mother. She was my friend.” Park, who now has to raise his brother alone, is not buying law-enforcement officials’ suggestion that the attack was motivated by a supposed sex addiction, not racism. “That’s bullshit,” he said.

Delaina Ashley Yaun Gonzalez, 33

Yaun Gonzalez, 33, was a mother of two — 13-year-old Mayson and 8-month-old Mia. She had worked all day on Tuesday at the Waffle House a few shops down from Tan’s spa business. She had been looking forward to having a relaxing night out with her husband, Mario Gonzalez, whom she married only last year, and the couple had reportedly never been to Young’s Asian Massage before. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, family members say that Mario Gonzalez, who survived the shooting, is “taking [the situation] hard.” Delaina Ashley Yaun Gonzalez’s friends and family have set up a GoFundMe to address her funeral costs.

Paul Andre Michels, 54

Michels, 54, was a handyman at Young’s Asian Massage and the owner of an electric company. He was only recently hired for the role and excited to take it on after looking for more work during the pandemic, according to a friend who spoke with CBS46. An army veteran originally from Detroit, Michels is one of nine siblings and is survived by his wife of more than two decades. In an interview with the Guardian, his brother John Michels emphasized his kindness. “He was just a regular guy, very good-hearted, very soft-natured,” he said, while noting that Michels had expressed an interest in getting involved in the massage business.

Yong Ae Yue, 63

A licensed massage therapist, she was laid off at the start of the pandemic last year and was excited to finally start shifts at the spa again, her son Elliott Peterson, 42, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Friday morning. Yue’s youngest child, Robert Peterson, 38, agreed, recalling their mother as a kind and deeply caring woman. If you stopped by her house, she’d sit you down, ask if you’d eaten, and then insist on a trip to H Mart grocery store so she could make a meal.

Daoyou Feng, 44, began working at Young’s Asian Massage in recent months, according to Tan’s friend Hynson. She was kind and quiet, he said. Her relatives could not be reached for comment.

Soon Chung Park, 74

Soon Chung Park, 74, was also a worker at an Atlanta spa. Her family didn’t respond when reached for comment. Park previously lived in New York, where she has relatives, her son-in-law, Scott Lee, told the New York Times. “She got along with her family so well,” Lee told the newspaper.

Suncha Kim, 69

Suncha Kim, 69, worked at one of the spas in Atlanta. Her family could not be reached for comment. Kim, a grandmother, was married for more than 50 years, a family member told the Times. She enjoyed line dancing and worked hard, the relative said.

Elcias Hernandez-Ortiz, 30

Hernandez-Ortiz, 30, was the only survivor of the victims who were shot on Tuesday, and he remains hospitalized for multiple gunshot wounds in his “forehead, throat, lungs and stomach,” according to the Washington Post. He was shot while standing outside in the shopping center where Young’s Asian Massage is located. “He came from nothing and has come a long way; that is why I have faith he will survive this,” his wife Flor Gonzalez told the Washington Post. Gonzalez has also set up a GoFundMe to help with the costs of Hernandez-Ortiz’s medical care.
