Hume Health Body Pod: Tells No Lies
Forget your average bathroom scale – I just tried the Hume Health Body Pod, and it's like stepping into a mini-lab! Seriously, my old Inevifit and some random Amazon scale? They were playing checkers while the Hume is playing 56-dimensional chess.
Imagine this: you step on, barefoot, and BAM! It's like a gentle, imperceptible whisper of electricity runs through you. (Don't worry, you can't feel a thing!). And then? Boom! Data overload in the best way possible. I'm talking muscle mass breakdown, not just for your whole body, but per leg. Hydration levels? Sodium? It's all there, laid out in glorious detail. This isn't just a weight reading, it's a full-on body deep dive. Read my full review & save 15% on TOP of the sale price with code BOREDMOM #affiliate

BEAUTIFUL & NUTRITIOUS ITALIAN FARRO BOWLS
Gathering and lingering over food is central to Italian culture. The dishes employ simplicity, relying on high-quality ingredients rather than elaborate presentation. Many dishes feature tomatoes, bell peppers, potatoes, wine and cheese. A natural plant-based cuisine, modern Italian focuses on the nuances of its regions, though nationwide the emphasis is on food produced by the earth.

Bounce Back Fast: Top Tips For Staying Healthy After Traveling
I just returned from an epic overseas adventure, and my body is doing the funky chicken – it’s confused, jet-lagged, and pretty sure it spent the last week wrestling with exotic germs in a back alley. If you’re in the same boat, don’t worry, you’re not alone in this post-trip purgatory. Travel can disrupt your routine and expose you to new germs, making you more susceptible to getting sick upon return. Here are some things we can do to minimize that risk:

Mounting evidence suggests adding just a spoonful of olive oil to your diet each day can have powerful health benefits. A new study from the US suggests this includes protection against dementia. While healthy 'Mediterranean' diets in general tend to include a dash of olive oil, the researchers claim the ingredient itself stands out for its beneficial qualities. "Typically, people who use olive oil for cooking or as a dressing have a better overall diet quality, but interestingly, we found the association to be regardless of this factor," Harvard University nutritionist Anne-Julie Tessier told Kaitlin Vogel at Healthline.

Irish Soda Bread Recipe for St. Patrick’s Day
In continuing with our St.Patrick’s Day Irish themed food series, here is a super easy recipe for Irish Soda Bread.
You may mix and knead the bread by hand, but if you have a stand up Kitchenaid mixer, I really recommend using it as this recipe will only take you about 10 minutes.Â
I cranked out 6 loaves the other day under 40 minutes.
Original recipe makes two 3/4 # loavesÂ
4 cups all-purpose flourÂ
4 tablespoons white sugar
 1 teaspoon baking sodaÂ
1 tablespoon baking powder
 1/2 teaspoon saltÂ
1/2 cup butter, softened 1 cup buttermilk
 1 egg
Loaf glaze
 1/4 cup butter, melted
 1/4 cup buttermilk
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a large baking sheet. In a large mixer bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt and butter on low. Once ingredients are well mixed, Stir in 1 cup of buttermilk and egg. In mixer, use bread hook and let dough churn out until it forms a nice round ball. Split dough lump into two and rorm dough into rounds and place on prepared baking sheet. If you have parchment paper, bake on top of this (easier!)In a small bowl, combine melted butter with 1/4 cup buttermilk; brush loaf with this mixture. Use a sharp knife to cut an ‘X’ into the top of the loaf.Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean (about 45 minutes). Check for doneness after 30 minutes and brush the loaf with the butter mixture while it bakes. Let it go for another 10-14 minutes until edges are browned. My local grocery store sells these cool paper sandwich bags. They are wide enough to fit a loaf in them! Cute for gifts.
