For this assignment, I tried to use a pixel style to convey the feel of the game. I think the most interesting part of the painting process was the background, because I tried to keep it separate from the character and UI as much as possible in order to not take up too much visual space, so you can feel that the background is actually extremely uniform in both color and depth.
In terms of graphics, I tried to reference a lot of different abandoned pixel art, from abandoned cities to some cyberpunk street shooters, and I felt that putting in the backs of different abandoned buildings was great for bringing a sense of the overall world to the player.
On the character design level, we learned how to make characters pixelated in previous sessions, and that was one of my biggest challenges this time around. This was one of my biggest challenges this time around, including how to simplify the character without losing the character's identity, which was extremely important when presenting my character's concept art at the time.

This is when Jack rescues his girlfriend, but because of the untimeliness his girlfriend is mortally wounded. He is in a lot of pain, but he can't change anything. Meanwhile, in the process he gets a company collar around his neck, which changes his fate. You can also see that actually both Jack and his girlfriend are wearing dresses and this is because they were having a dance party earlier.

When:1890 - Second World
Where: Resistance camp
The character's name is Jack, Jack as the leader of the resistance lost his left hand and a part of his body in a previous protest; people were forced to transform him and remodeled him with parts from the company's robots, and he now possesses very powerful weapons.
Behind Jack is the "core", the resource that drives the world's robots; the fact that many rich people are clamoring to own it makes it valuable. When Jack was first transformed, everyone in the village pooled their money and spent a lot of money to get this "core".
The collar around his neck was installed to Jack by the company. During a protest, Jack was arrested and put on the collar, and the company ordered Jack to catch "us" or the collar would kill Jack when it was time.

It's a role similar to that of a resistance leader. In this world, people rebel against machinery, and some will transform themselves for this purpose.

Adds a sense of space with a more serious vibe.
Furniture was given a more classic feel and the company's logo was incorporated.
Distinguish more specifically between service robots and security robots.
For this assignment, I tried to search for a variety of references, especially robots. I feel that robots are a great medium to show a great view of the world, and the way a robot makes people feel can determine how they feel about the world as a whole.

The Rebirth - "Invitation"
In this world there exists a type of person who is reborn and retains the memories of the previous world, and Rebirth exists to recruit these people to assist in the technological development of the society.
"I" was invited from Rebirth, another world, and they asked me to participate in an experiment. They asked me to take part in an experiment that would help them to try to find a way to stimulate memories of past lives, and they wanted to make this world a utopia.
The Rebirth has a bounty of financial resources, and they have created technology so terrible that it rules the world through the memories of previous Rebirths.

We are Cookieeeeeees!
For this assignment I wanted to start with the face, because I think that different features have a very big freedom can also have a good effect. But at the same time, I incorporated some fun elements such as the chocolate chip cookie setting, which makes the whole thing even more cute.
I found that the hardest part of this assignment was actually considering the different layers and making sure that the placement of each part didn't interfere with each other. For example, when I was drawing the mouth, I had to make sure that all the mouths were in one place so that I could easily make changes and draw on other layers.

Sparks/Flames Flashing
Sparks Changing the HUE
Flames Breathlessness
Sparks/Flames Rise gradually
In the making of this particle, I actually wanted to express more of an angry emotion, and I think the concepts of anger and flame are actually very similar, which is why I used flame as my particle sprite.
I made each particle transparent from 0 to 100, so that the appearance of the sprite won't be too abrupt; at the same time, I added a hue change to the spark, if you look closely, you will see that the spark will gradually change from red to orange.
Each part moves at a different speed in order to create some randomness, which makes for a more comfortable feeling.
